You think negan was really Goin for it, or he was fuckin around too?

I think when he saw Rick alive, he knew Dwight saved Rick, which is why Rick said not to look at him. He realized he had big enemies within his own ranks and was not going to walk away alive if he didn't do a 180, even if was to just regroup and fight another day. Rick saw through that and is going for a decisive finish.

Although, those still loyal to Negan could kill Rick in the next episode...his people were right behind them.

Yea I figured as much, I was kinda waitin for negan to take a swing at Rick with Lucille in the middle of his speech. It would be fucked up if Rick got shot up the next issue tho:lol:

It seems like it's time for this series to come to an end. The author has had a good run, but now he just seems to be stringing things out with no real end game in mind.

carl is one cold ass kid:lol:

wonder if negan is gonna try escape somehow? somehow i don't buy him being reformed and neither does carl...

I think I have come to the end with the walking dead, I think this is a good place for me to stop, I don`t see the point of keeping on

Well that was unexpected. I'm guessing Negan escapes, kills Rick, Carl becomes the main character. I'm kinda disappointed that they are just redirecting herds instead of thinning them out little by little.

I gotta agree with you. I was a big fan of this comic, but it's starting to seem like a window into people's boring lives...with the walking dead. What's next, Rick sets up an office building and we get to see people file papers, hold meetings, refill the coffee machine, and occasionally lop off the heads of zombies? Or does yet another group come in and try to take what Rick's built and there's another war?

Every artist has to know when it's time to leave the stage, maybe it's time to say "the end" and walk away.

I think Kirkman wrote himself into a corner and there was nothing else that he could possibly do with Negan. If he killed him, people would have said it was the Governor part 2. I actually like the recent change so im not ready to jump ship yet. I need to know more abt Magna, and where the hell is Michonne?

I actually like the time jump. First it means we get to skip the boring community building stuff. Second it shows the physical toll all of this has taken on Rick long term. Third they returned to this time period because something is going to happen.... Negan's escape, Ricks eventual death, and maybe Carl becoming the focus of the series....

Michonne is probably with Ezekiel at the Kingdom, she hung up her sword for good and passed it on the Jesus.

I think that is what the time jump is skipping...next comics cover doesn't look like community building to me.

Plot: "After all this time, she should be more prepared."

Plot: "Even now, they still find new ways to dispose of the dead."

Plot: "There were whispers and I was afraid."

If anything the next 3 covers show a larger focus back on the walkers...

i think my point is that the end has come to the story, there is no place left for it to go. it has been for the past 120 epsiodes, survive, ally, build, conflict, zombie overrun, repeat... if the next few covers are any indication that pattern is about to start over again... Ill pop in from time to time and ask how the story is going. I did say that this would happen if you check the history on this thread.

well the gotta conserve what little ammo they have left and i guess chopping a herd down is wayyy too risky. besides, barring any huge noise that draws their attention, zombies will go in one direction indefinitely.

people have been saying this since the end of the prison arc:dunno: superhero comics, action movies, rom coms have been telling the same basic story for their genres for how long now? i think it's more about how the story is told than anything.

I'll try to get these up tonight. I'm trying to build my collection in order to fulfill requests so I haven't been able to help anyone in the other thread.
