The Walking Dead: All Seasons (DON'T POST SPOILERS)

Re: The Walking Dead

Someone asked how there are so many Zombies & is being bitten the only way to be infected.

I thought you can be infected by ways other than BiTes ... inhalation/exposure. Also if I cremate a Zombie & the smoke then turn into rain and someone outside gets caught in the rain/ cemetaries are exposed and the dead begin to walk without ever being bitten? IE:Night of the Living Dead (when the guy open the drum/barrel with the Zombie in it? He was infected with out being bitten)

[walking dead] What about when someone was about to drink the well water and realized a zombie was in the well? Would they have then gotten sick & infected without being bitten?

Most likely the Zombie virus was the typical attempt by the Govt/military/medical field to improve something and whatever proved succesful in the lab didn't act the same when tested on humans, or mutated in ways they didn't forsee. Then it got out.

Think of it this way:

1 The virus is an airborne one. Sorta like the flu or common cold, but it is dormant until death sets in. So most likely, the virus will (if it hasn't already) infect everyone on the planet.

Animals probably also carry the dormant version of the virus but it has yet to mutate into a version that would turn dead animals into zombies as well, so it may also be possible to contract the virus through contact with animals (maybe even through eating them)

2 The virus is a vectored one. Sorta like those spread through bites from all sorts of insects, or even through vaccines. It is dormant until death sets in. If this is the case then most of the world could have been infected through various vaccinations. (airborne is the better scenerio tho)

Link? It's in the comics. In the comics **********SPOILER*********a few people became a zombie despite not being bitten after they died. However in the show they hinted at some of what I said about the bite in the season finale of season one when the doctor was explaining how him and his colleagues theorized how zombies manifest.

I tried looking for the scene on YouTube and did not find it.

What I said i got from the comics but i just watched the first season finale and the doctor never hinted at anything like that.

Damn am I mixing things up? What did he say when he showed him the brain scans of the person becoming a zombie? I know for sure I remember him saying something about
The transfer of the disease.

Actually in that part he was basically saying you get infected from being bitten and the virus kills you and how which is kinda the opposite of what I was saying earlier.

Re: The Walking Dead

It's a shame that the discussions re the show are more engaging than the show itself

Re: The Walking Dead

Why dont they just tell that old fool how its going to be and do whatever the fuck they want. Whats the old man gonna do about it? Fuck talkin about this is his land, if I was running the group it wouldnt even be a problem. We'd kill all the walkers and stay on the land until all resources are gone and then and only then would we bounce and give him back his farm.

Re: The Walking Dead

one thing that is better than the comics is the presence of Shane. He's really added something to the story that wasn't there in the comic because they got rid of him so early. I hope the tv show keeps him around a long time...

Ya I kept waiting for them to kill him off now I'm like they need to keep the nigga on the show...what's fucked up is they'll probably kill him off now that he's emerging into a "villainous" character

Re: The Walking Dead

Some of us WERE trying to keep it spoiler free. This thread got crazy recently.

Ya I saw dudes not giving a fuck after a while but the comic and the show are so diff @ this point I wouldn't even consider some of these spoilers

Re: The Walking Dead

that shit ended like that scene from Colors when them mexicans shot up that crip hideout.
and somethin told me Sophia was in that fuckin barn. cant wait til February

Re: The Walking Dead

Dramatic ending. Shane was like fuck the bullshit, I ain't chilling around these mofos and his actions revealed Sophia so now the group can move foward. Laurie still being a bitch saying if the child is his he still ain't going to be the daddy.

Re: The Walking Dead

They have to kill Shane off now.

being a huge fan of the comic I was like when is this ninja gonna catch one in the head.

now after this episode they better not kill dude.

Dude is acting like the leader. I know comic fans seem the transformation of rick but damn seems like Shane is already there.

I mean damn comic book Rick would put one in Hershel head if he was talking that "you gotta go shit."

They wouldn't be able to prove who's baby it is. Unless they find a Zombie Murry Povich walking around.

Re: The Walking Dead

That is what I am saying, Shane ain't going for that compassion for walkers shit. He did what needed to be done.

Re: The Walking Dead

Did not see that ending coming, but at the same time I'm also not surprised at all. Hopelessness is what might finally drive Rick to the point of becoming the character Shane has become already. It will happen.

Still hard to swallow what had to be done though.:smh::smh:

I think this is what pissing off the hardcore comic fans.

that rick isn't the character we seen in the book. Hell he ain't even the leader he is in the book.

Shane took charge. Shane is willing to do what is necessary.

As I said before comic book Rick would have put one in Hershel's head if he was talking about kicking his wife and son out and he actually thought they would die out there.
