The Walking Dead: All Seasons (DON'T POST SPOILERS)

Re: The Walking Dead

Nah I think hes just sacred to kill em.Remember Black dude from tha 1st episode who didn't have tha heart to kill his zombie wife. When its someone you know personally that turns I think it is harder to kill em.

Re: The Walking Dead

That last episodes were good to me. I wish they would use more areas then just a farm

Im feeling it too. Even the comic Doesn't have action EVERY DAMN issue. The problem with this season is that the Darabont issue seems to have thrown AMC off their game. I think they'll tighten up by next year.
I enjoy this season though, but only do CgI zombies in massive hordes.

I think thats part of it and also he's in denial. He just doesnt want to believe its actually the dead coming back to life so he concocts some ridiculous theory that they're just "sick".

Re: The Walking Dead

i just started reading the comic.

sorry fellas, the writing for the show is superior than the writing of the comic.

reading this comic reminds me of why i stopped reading and collecting comics. and i have thousands of comics. i need to sell them.

imma try and read until issue 30 and see whats up. but its not looking promising.

You are literally the first person I have ever encountered that said some shit like this.

Re: The Walking Dead

What do you mean?

Jumping the shark is an idiom used to describe the moment in the evolution of a television show when it begins a decline in quality that is beyond recovery.

In its initial usage, it referred to the point in a television program's history when the program had outlived its freshness and viewers had begun to feel that the show's writers were out of new ideas, often after great effort was made to revive interest in the show by the writers, producers, or network

Im new.
Why does that dude keep those zombies in the barn??
:dunno::dunno:

In a way it made sense, considering how religious he is, but then they fucked it up with putting them in a raggedy ass barn. They should have broke out of that shit by now.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
Your the first person ive ever heard say this. How you think this mediocre second season thats like this due to budget cuts and the firing of Durabont is better than the comic is beyond me.

No, I know what jump the shark means however I was confused as to why you said I jumped the shark instead of how did "they" jump the shark? But I take it you were asking a rhetorical question.

AMC fired the original writers after season 1 and cut the budget to reduce costs. This show should have been on HBO or Starz from the beginning.........

and i normally wouldn't say it. but after all these dudes keep going on and on about the comic i went and downloaded all 90.

i am three issues in and i wouldn't have kept reading this bullshit if i was still collecting. imma give it 30 issues just to give it a fair shot. but right now i am bored silly.

and if folks are complaining about carl being up and about so fast (and they are right to complain) after getting shot there is a whole lot more to complain about in the first 3 issues of this comic.

Yeah, it was rhetorical

And I didn't know they cut the budget for the show :smh:

Why didn't they just reduce the amount of episodes for better quality

Fam, I have no idea why they just didn't reduce the amount of episodes to compensate for costs. Hell a shorter season (7-9 ep) would mean every hour long episode would have to count and none of this filler shit would be a problem. UK shows have the formula down but the US loves excess/over consumption.

I would take a 7-9 episode season all day if that meant each episode was bringing heat.

3 issues in?! Dude keep reading. My wife barely reads comics but was hooked since issue 1 and hates the show as well.

Only 3 issues in and you say the show is better than the comic? You will change your mind.

Re: The Walking Dead

I hated comic books growing up and I blasted through those comics in 2 days. They are really good!

I used to clown people that read comics. However earlier this year, I gave the walking dead comics a try after hearing so much about them on bgol. I ended up going through 60 something issues in the span of a day.

I was certifiably addicted

Re: The Walking Dead

Your Definition of “jumping the shark” was correct. FUNFACT: the term came from HAPPY DAYS, when Fonzie was surfing, he was about to get bit by a shark and jumped over it. And the phrase was born.

12 episodes is short enough. I watch shit like Criminal Minds and that show is 20+ episodes and never boring. Writers should be able to pack enough tension into 12 fucking episodes. They are currently dragging this shit along like it comes on every day like a soap.

Look how different Sons is this season compared to last.

I was like  when it was announced AMC had this show and they have confirmed my fears. They had no business touching this shit.

After seeing all the hype here, I caught up with the first season via Netflix, been watching the second season and this season is dry as hell.. WAY too much bs filler, not enough action. Definitely getting removed from the dvr list.

Re: The Walking Dead

Walking Dead' producer responds to abortion outcry

people are DUMB:rolleyes:

The Walking Dead survivors lie, betray and even kill each other to remain sane and alive during the zombie apocalypse. But use prescription medication incorrectly and all hell breaks loose.

To catch up: Sarah Wayne Callies’ character Lori has slept with two men since the start of the series (she thought her husband was dead) and nearly lost her son to a hunting accident. In last Sunday’s episode, she learned she’s pregnant and decides she doesn’t want to bring a child into such a cruel zombie-filled world. She gobbles up morning-after pills from a local pharmacy… and then decides to throw them back up.

Some viewers were outraged — but not for the reason the producers probably expected: Morning after pills are not for use several weeks into a pregnancy, but only for the first five days following unprotected sex.

Walking-Dead-Sarah-pills_320.jpg

“There is considerable confusion about the difference between medication abortion and emergency contraception, and it was distressing to see this misunderstanding further spread by a show like The Walking Dead,” wrote the ACLU on its blog. “Aren’t they supposed to have fact checkers to catch this kind of thing? Emergency contraception prevents pregnancy and is especially useful in cases of unanticipated sexual activity, contraceptive failure, or sexual assault. The Walking Dead, is not doing its fans or themselves any favors by promoting false information.”

Now Walking Dead showrunner Glen Mazzara has responded to the outcry, telling The Daily Beast and confirmed by EW.com: “The producers and writers of The Walking Dead are fully aware that the morning-after pill would not induce an abortion or miscarriage. We exercised our artistic creative license to explore a storyline with one of our characters, not to make any pro-life or pro-choice political statement.

We sincerely hope that people are not turning to the fictional world of The Walking Dead for accurate medical information.”

Another potential out that Mazzara could have taken, but did not: From a character perspective, it doesn’t matter what the writers know about contraception, what matters is what Lori knows — and maybe she’s just terribly misinformed.

In our weekly interview with Walking Dead producer Robert Kirkman, the writer touched on the abortion issue in a more general way. “If there’s ever been an argument for abortion I think the thought of bringing a child into a world infested with zombies is definitely something that at least warrants a discussion,” he said. “Because it is a horrific world that they’ve been living in and they have been watching people die left and right. After everything that Carl has been going through and losing Sophia — I mean this has been very definitively been proven to be a world that is not fit for children. So that is an issue that’s going to come up.”

What do you think: Does an entertainment program have any responsibility to portray such details accurately?
