The year is 2013 no more excuses its time to begin making money online.Building a niche site is a great way to generate some income online. This will be your action plan step by step directions on how to build a great money making niche website.

Step one

Find your Niche Market.

Five questions to answer to help you find your niche market.

Question one: What markets are you current already apart of?

Question Two: Where do people who also love you’re chosen top interest topic gather at online?

Question Three: Do your online customers have money to spend on your products?

Question Four: Do you have hard data that suggest that this target market is looking for your solutions?

Question five: What is your unique selling point?

Answer these questions first then move on to the next step.

Step Two

Do your Research

The most important step in any online marketing is KEYWORD RESEARCH. I cant stress this enough you will not be successful building niche sites without proper keyword research. The goal is to get as much free search engine traffic as possible.

Keys to great Keyword research for Niche sites.

a.Target your main keyword and rank in the top 5 in google.

b.Find a keyword with lots of advertisers and CPC of at least $1.

c.Check the the top 10 competition in google.

d. If the your niche market doesn’t have a keyword with over 5000 searches a month or of least $1 cost per click stop and find another niche market and product.

Tools for Keyword research:

Google Adwords Tool: A tool to help you decide what keywords to use for your Adwords campaigns. You can also check to see the popularity of certain keywords and the competition for ads for those keywords as well.

Fiverr or Elance: If you arent a expert on keyword research hire someone to do it for you.You will get better results on elance rather than fiverr. https://www.elance.com/?rid=29B8V Or www.fiverr.com.

Step 3

Buy exact match domain: having the key word in the domain will help your site to rank higher in google period.
Buy Hosting: I Love Host Gator<a href="http://www.anrdoezrs.net/8g104qgpmgo398D8C48354C9855B" target="_blank" onmouseover="window.status='http://www.hostgator.com';return true;" onmouseout="window.status=' ';return true;">

This is affiliate link and I thank you if you click on it and register for host gator.

Install wordpress: Most host now have wordpress as a one click option. Install a free theme or a cheap one from a online source.

Install Plugins

Google Analytics: Google’s free website tracking and analytical tool. A must have for anyone with any type of website.

Google XML Sitemaps:Creates a XML site map for your site so it can be easil y found in search engines.

All in One SEO Pack: Seo pack for search engines
Date Exclusion SEO:Remove the date from your wordpress post so they don’t get dated in search engines.

Step four

Add great content

Add great focus content that is built around your keywords and subject. Narrow your focus on one subject and one market. Niche websites are most successful when they contain a ton of information about one subject or only serve one market.

Add money to your niche site.

Three ways to add money to your site.
1. Create your own product- you keep all the profit this is the best way to make money online,

2. Affiliate marketing- the product is already made but you only get a small share of the profits. Commission junction and Link share are great places to get products.

3. Adsense- My least favorite method this takes a lot of traffic and clicks.

Build Backlinks
Step 1: Write an Original Article Related to Your Niche
Step 2: Prepare The Article for Spinning
Step 3: Submit to Article Directories
Step 4: Create Your New Blogs and Web 2.0 Properties
Step 5: Indirect Linking to Your Anchor Sites

Step 6: Rinse and Repeat

Here is the thing you don’t need to spend money but you do need to create great focused content.

7. Increase Traffic and Increasing Conversions
This is the only thing you need to remember in internet marketing. Increase traffic to your offer and then increase the sales you make to that targeted traffic.

I will follow each of these steps with a more detailed posting regarding how to build the ultimate niche site to make more money in 2013.

I did, but have since lost the hosting to it.

It is a full time job, but if you are passionate about a particular subject, or writing in general, it's worth it.

A step better, if you are passionate or love talking, vlogging is now the way to go.

I set up and ran by blog back in '08. Things have changed since......

I like the thread but GoDaddy sucks!

If you miss a hosting payment for 3 weeks, they will knock down your website, and then charge you $150 if you want to recover it.

Scumbags!

They did the same thing to me on a domain name. I missed the 7-day renewal grace period. So, they charged me $85 just to renew it on top of the renewal fee of $9.95.

Those sons of bitches!

The nice thing about Wordpress is that you can have the whole website backed up in a text file (and of course the images).

My number 1 tip, if you have a niche site for PHYSICAL product sales is to use Wordpress.

The second tip is to guard your customer list like it is gold. If they bought from you once, and you treat them right, they will buy from you again.

Cultivate customer loyalty.

I hate godaddy also...they did the same shyt to me. I only use them for their auctions (a slept on resource).
As an alternative, I've been using internetbs for registering. It's about 9 bucks a year but it includes privacy.

I meant to tell you in my original post, good stuff!

Niche marketing, in my opinion, is the only way to go when you take the vanity and ego out of "I run/own my own business".

I look forward to the updates, which reminds me, I need to update my affiliate marketing thread in this section.

We may get up on some ideas. I like what you know, and more importantly, what you are sharing.

When I get ready to write a blog post, I usually head over to the Niche Websites Hub and look at the planned posts that I have on that page. Then I usually just find one that piques my interest and begin writing. However, today, I just felt like I needed to write about 4 different niche website strategies – even though this was not a planned post on the Hub. So, hopefully you find it interesting and useful.

I have discussed at least a couple of different strategies on this blog, but I wanted to be a little more explicit in the details. For some of you that are perhaps more advanced or that don’t like going over intricate details, you might not be interested in this info. However, I think overall getting the proper plan in place before you even attempt to build your next (or first) site is extremely important. I attribute most of my success to being able to develop a strategy and follow through on that strategy. Very little of my success comes from knowing how to build a website, or how to pick right hosting, or building links, or any of those other details. The success comes from understanding a plan and why it works, and then executing that plan.

Strategy #1 – The Small Niche Website with 1 Primary Keyword
This is the strategy that has led to my success. I have written about this strategy in detail right here. Essentially, here are the quick points on this strategy:
Pick 1 primary keyword that gets 1,000 to 15,000 exact match local searches per month.
Keyword gets $1 or more in CPC
Make sure the keyword has low competition in Google (learn how to judge that here).
Buy an exact match or keyword rich domain.
Write 1 article targeting that keyword and make it a post or a page on the homepage of the site.
Write 5 to 10 other articles on related keywords. These keywords might have very low search volume or higher search volume, the main purpose is to support the primary article on the site.
That’s essentially the strategy in a nutshell. Pick a low competition keyword, build a site on it, build a few links, and get free traffic from Google.

Strategy #2 – Large Authority Site with 1 Primary Keyword and Lots of Long Tail Keywords
I have written about my plans to build an authority site recently on my blog here (I am still working on it and will provide a full report later). Here is the bullet point strategy for larger authority sites.
Pick 1 primary keyword that gets higher search volume (10k or more exact match local searches per month is a good starting point).
The competition on Google may be low to medium. I would always avoid extremely high competition keywords.
Buy an exact match or keyword rich domain.
Create 1 article that targets your keyword. This can be a static article on the homepage OR you can also just do a traditional blog that shows your latest posts on the homepage. The static homepage does give you more control of whats on your homepage – so its always a good option.
Find lots of long tail keywords. This could be 100 to 200 or more low competition and low search volume keywords. When I say low search volume, I mean less than 1,000 most likely. I am targeting keywords that get 200 to 500 searches per month approximately.
Write 1 article per long tail keyword – with the Title including the long tail keyword.
The point of this strategy is to hopefully quickly capture lots of long tail searches for the low volume keywords that you are targeting. Then in time as you build links and promote your site, you will start ranking for your primary keyword as well. As you see success you may add many many more articles targeting long tail keywords.

Strategy #3 – Medium Sized Niche Website Targeting Low Competition Keywords
In this strategy, you will essentially be targeting 20+ long tail keywords – including your primary keyword. In fact, the primary keyword may get less than 1,000 searches per month – maybe only 500! Here are the quick bullet points on this strategy:
Pick a primary keyword that gets less than 1,500 searches per month.
Make sure this keyword has very low competition in Google.
Buy an exact match or keyword rich domain.
Create 1 article on your primary keyword
Create 20 – 30+ articles all on very low competition/low volume keywords – again 200 to 500 searches per month is probably a decent target.
The advantage of this strategy is that you can often rank EXTREMELY quickly for almost all of your keywords. Your primary keyword may be so low in competition that your site may rank with only a handful of links. The reason you would want to add more than 5 to 10 articles (as specified in the small niche website strategy above) is that each of your targeted keywords will only bring in a small amount of traffic. However, in aggregate you could build up a decent site with very little linkbuilding effort.

Strategy #4 – Large Hybrid Site
In reality there are probably dozens of different types of strategies that you could eventually end up following. So, I simply call this last strategy a “Large Hybrid Site” because it may start out as a small niche website but morph into a large authority site as you add content and see success.
You may start a site using any of the above 3 strategies mentioned and if you are seeing success – it only makes sense to build out the site and target additional keywords. Again, the additional keywords that you target could be a hybrid approach as well. You might only target long tail extremely low competition keywords; or you might find that you are ranking relatively well for some higher traffic keywords. If so, you might add a new post dedicated to this keyword, or you simply might build some links to the existing page that is ranking.
In a nutshell here is how a hybrid strategy might work:
Start out building a small niche site targeting 1 primary keyword with 10 additional articles.
As you see success, you decide to add 50 articles all targeting long tail keywords.
You notice you are also ranking for a keyword that gets 5k searches per month, so you create an in depth page targeting that keyword.
You build links to that page and start ranking at the top of Google.
This process of adding long tail keyword articles or targeting other low to medium keywords could go on and on.

In conclusion

Anyway, I just felt a little more motivated to write on the subject of different niche website strategies, so I truly hope that you have found this information useful. Overall, its extremely important to develop a plan and then stick to that plan as you create your niche websites. As you can see, there are many different routes that you can take – but each of the strategies require that you do sound keyword research and target appropriate keywords that you can rank for.
I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the strategies that I have discussed above. Let me know if you have anything to add to what I have shared. If you have questions, fire away!
