The seventh-largest Mega Millions jackpot in history is up for grabs in the next drawing. $1 Billion

Because the people who got money aren't going to be around people who ain't never had money. That's the difference.

People who got money are around people who got money too, so there's no problem. For people who ain't never had money will set somebody up for $100. If people like that even think somebody has more money than they have it's a wrap
Stop explaining shit to that dumb ass nigga.

Clearly, dude knows this shit but want to get a reaction out of you.

No dumb ass person who is black want to be known for winning some shit like this because they know they would end up dead.

When you claim your prize, your financial team will arrange your temporary living arrangements if needed. When you have that kind of money/liquid assets, that opens the doors to special perks that common folk would never receive. You would get easily fronted the money for any immediate living arrangement if security was an issues. Plus after Winning, states will give people 90 days before publishing their informations.

Sometimes, I think some of you love being ignorant and wear It like a badge of honor.

I'm in Fayetteville NC now, but I plan on driving across the border to SC before Tuesday

It raised up more since Sunday. To win 944 million, reduced to 326 million after taxes is nasty work. That's more than half that the government gets. I was always under the presumption that, i would lose 45 percent. After a breakdown, I would lose 66% to uncle Sam alone.
Yeah, but it's still a lot of money regardless for an average person who never was a millionaire.

Yeah lotto always been a fraud for many reasons… they tell you a billion dollars cause more people are likely to spend a few dollars on the near impossible odds than if you said the 67 percent discount number( actual number).. I have friends who own liq stores, etc where they sell lotto and they will tell you how much more money is spent on lotto once them ridiculous high numbers are said.. like last yr I believe you heard all those billion or close to billion dollar lotteries and they said how much more money was being spent on tixs during that run compared to the lesser numbers.. that’s why I always say sometimes ”winning numbers” ain’t giving out until lotto see a certain spike of purchases

That's not entirely accurate. Just nitpicking but, the initial "penalty" is from the lottery commission which is about 38%. Then the feds take about 24% and then the state (and if applicable, your city) takes their respective cut(s).

I said 66%

38%+24%=62%

Close enough!

BTW, if one wins the lotto, and one is already married without a prenup, how would one treat that scenario?

Folks change ya'kno, especially about money

Yes, you said....

I would lose 66% to uncle Sam alone.

I clarified and said that the lottery commission (a separate corporate entity) takes 38%, and then "Uncle Sam" (the government) then only takes 24%.

Again I prefaced my comment with

I get it, but either 66% OR 62%, that's still an over half chunk of the winnings

I'm in North Carolina right now and I drove an hour to South Carolina to get some tickets. South Carolina allows you to win anonymously. I haven't checked my tickets yet, but somebody in California won the big one, I still had a chance to catch the little ones though

California again :smh:
Lottery: he said again lol, even with proof that there’s a certain pattern or odds go to certain areas more we still will convince a bunch of people that they have a chance or that it’s ok to donate to our scheme just by saying large numbers can be win.. brilliant.. see you sucker uhhh guys next yr , happy new yr.. now let’s fund some wars uhhh I mean donate the money to schools( even though it’s obvious none of them shits get upgraded but the lie we will continue to say)
