Cosby is attacking the small fish in recent times.
When MLK was alive Cosby himself, in a video posted on youtube, blasted the establishment (the big fish).
However for him to continue along those lines would not have endured him to the white population like he is now, he might have been dead also.

I'm surprised that I didn't see or comment on this thread sooner, I normally don't miss these.
In a very in depth way what he is saying is that not only do we have to deal with racism we also have to deal with classism and that overcoming classism is often used as an argument that racism no longer exists.
Of course that is an easy point to throw out there if you've only been subjected to classism but never racism.

A very interesting read...a lot of it was shit that I already knew and believed, but it was nice to know that somebody else ( especially a white man ) has the exact same point of view, and realizes that America and its white citizenry are backwards thinking buffoons...

kayanation, you are that poster and Tim Wise is that dude. He is ALWAYS on point. I have a youtube playlist dedicated to ALL of his speeches. I don't know how much longer he can live to be truthful. His platform needs to be increased to further agitate the ill and misinformed status quo, black AND white.
You better download of those videos before they disappear.

why? Because it props up the economic system.
When we begin to understand the foundation of racism is white privilege for their economic benefit, we would start to gather the necessary tools to respond.
Until then we will continue to be dictated to by white people what racism is so as to cover their tracks.
Great f'n post kayanation. I sometimes hear Tim Wise on WBAI 99.5 FM NYC and he is perhaps the only white person who truly understands racism today. When the reading is this good I don't even think about how long it is. I breezed through it. Keep it burnin'. One Love!
