I can always tell people new to foams, because they desire shit that we thought were wack. Dooms and UNC's. They were never desirable, well you'll see after you see how that white looks after wearing them a while. Having a white liner defeated the purpose of foams.
I hate how they fucked up the royal pros, by making the sole blue and not having them nubuck. Leather was only ok for the silvers.
I guess I will have to glue the swooshes back on my 2001 royals

That was the best foam year in a while.
I didn't get many, but the gone fishings, black guccis, holograms, pearl, gold were all a lot better than the crap they had been putting out...and if you don't notice it sold a lot better.
Plus the chromeposites and blue mirrors would be up there for best if not for the defect

Naw, I wasn't in to SB's then. They were always a white boy sneaker to me. I didn't see many black dudes fucking with SB's. And if they were they were the corny skateboarders. It wasn't until I met one of my boys who was in to sneakers and also SB's that I saw them differently. They were the exact opposite of foams. Before that I thought some were cool like MF Doom's, Tiffanys and De La's, but not something for me. I didn't even know where a skate shop was or where SB's were sold. I never went in the SB thread on NT. So I missed all the pink, gold and black box releases. I got my first SB's six or seven years ago.
