How are they killing the resell market?
After releases general release Jordan's normally sell for around $250. Unless they're fire reds or militaries you aren't getting them for around retail. If you get them for $220, that's still $50. Right now the IV's are going for $250 to $300. It will drop some next week as online orders come in and those people try to add their pairs to what's already on ebay. That's why I was saying earlier it's not really worth it to buy certain releases early, because you're paying resell prices without even trying first.
XI's are the only general release ones that really go high, and that's because of hype and christmas money. For the XI's prices will be close to $350 for about two weeks, before they settle in to between $250 and $300. Plus with these XI's prices won't really jump like the space jams and concords, because they don't yellow and you can have them for ten years like how people still wear the 2001's.
Despite what Nike is doing, the demand for sneakers is still at a all time high so it's not cutting prices that much.
On Craigslist you can get them cheaper and a better deal, but I'm not too keen on that meeting people in a neutral public place shit.
If anything them re-releasing shit so quickly helps prices. Like with the fuckin aquas. Aquas crack terribly, weren't that hard to get and you could have gotten them for $220. Then Kanye started wearing them all the time and they jumped to close to $400. Now I noticed prices have started dropping the time it was announced they're coming back out next summer.
