That always happens. Prices are always the highest that Saturday thru Monday when a release first happens. When Miami vices first dropped they were going for over $600, now people have forgotten about them, you can get a pair for around $450.
At first dudes are upset they missed out and are eager to buy. Instead of being patient and waiting it out, either for a restock or for a decent price.
Take the Speed Turf Dan Marino joints, Saturday Nike sold out...They were going for over $200 on ebay.
Meanwhile, every fuckin day this week Monday thru today, NDC has dropped a restock
I was able to get a pair and use a 15% off code for a canceled order.Prices on ebay aren't $200, but they're still going for between $175 and $200
People see that, so pretty soon once people starting getting theirs in you'll have even more on ebay and prices will start going down. It's so many resellers now they sort of fuck it up. They're still in stores here, because dudes only really care about foams and Jordans, but making $40 after ebay fees isn't even worth the hassle for me.
The only kicks I haven't seen that happen for are KD's. For $95 kicks they've remained pretty consistent after they release, and a lot of them like the Galaxies and Weathermen, they've continued going up.

Picked up the Diamond Turf 2's for $70 from Footlocker
They're ok. They have no wearability to me. Not really a fan of the 7 besides the galaxies and cloaks.

People keep saying it's resellers fucking up the game...true but let's not act like Nike isn't accommodating them by releasing limited numbers. If Nike made more shoes the resellers would have no market.. I don't know if it's me but it seems like the market is tailing off of late. Cats used to get 30%-50% on top of retail....now cats barely getting $50-60....

the resellers hijacked the game. fuck the retailers too because if they put more of their inventory available online with a purchase limit instead of in stores then they can easily kill the madness of releases. If you can't cop it initially is wait for restocks online, buy from europe, or wait out the resellers
I don't know man them Rookie Galaxies man....not a fan of the Rookies but something about those galaxies man....shit maybe I bought into the hype too because I don't even like the simple colorway of Rookies but them shits look nice.

If they produced more of certain kicks, there wouldn't be the same demand for resellers. After the Space Jams, Concords and Cool Greys, they have an idea of how many to produce for the breds. Think they will produce more than they did previously though?

KD's did the best for resellers this year, why, because they made most of the colors since the initial releases limited with a gimmick.
I also blame the consumer. Sorry, but the Yeezy 2's are a ugly ass sneaker. If it wasn't for hype and people thinking they can flip them for over a thousand, how many people would want them? If they were a general release how many people would actually buy them?
Nike knows they can whip people in a frenzy the time they hear limited, and Twitter has been another marketing tool to do it. They've used the internet(sites, message boards and blogs) against the consumer. Leak a few pics a few months in advance.

The most limited and hyped colorways I'm sure will be with the + line. So you'll have a bunch of people buying kicks with technology they won't even be using. Now people let others dictate what's hot. You have people buying foams just because everyone else is. If other people aren't hyped up about them then they don't want them. That's why I have very few regrets about what I buy, because I actually get what I like.
