just wanted to see how the geniuses let their fool mouths run.

yao ming has terrible hands AND his PGs don't know how to make good entry passes. but coming back out on the floor gave them an emotional boost.

luis scola is a nervous bitch and needs to stop over passing to big men in the paint. that's just stupid basketball.

sasha vujacic got inside von wafer's head and took von wafer COMPLETELY out of the game.

fakers need to pick up their D in this series or they will be in trouble.

houston PGs are very quick but also very erratic.

The other Lakers didn't want to step up and shoot the necessary 3 pointers so Kobe had no choice but to shoot them and go 1-7 and bail them out. I thought you knew :rolleyes:

True, but they hit some tough shots, the defense would rotate but then some how some way there was a bailout


Bynum, odom need to start and farmer needs more playing time. This is gonna be a series of matchups

pau gasol didn't get a shot in the first 3.5 minutes of the game because he didn't want to.

pau gasol didn't get another shot for 6 more minutes of the game because he's soft.

fair enough... I turn no blind eye to his poor play/decisions... I just dont understand why he shoots jumpers as his primary weapon. He starts almost every game with a J instead of attacking first to so the D may sag so he can get clearer looks. Its straight fools gold... live by the jumper, die by the jumper. He turns himself into Ray Allen far to often. He's totally capable of taking defenders off of the dribble. Thats why i give an edge to Lebron... whether his jumper is falling or not, he consistently attacks the basket.

Come on now...dude got Olympics MVP, a few Euro MVPs, dude a baller. He does get caught stopping the ball too soon, but that's what happens when a number 1 is relegated to a smaller role in a new league.

don't get it twisted.

i'm not saying he hasn't grown over time. i'm not saying he hasn't made positive contributions to his team.

but TONIGHT, he was obviously shook and overpassed the ball. look at the spacing of his teammates when he attempted passes. look at the angles (flat) he attempted to make passes at.

ask yourself: even if luis scola completes the pass, what would it have accomplished? nothing, except to put the ball in a worse position on the floor than it had been previously. it's not like he was swinging or reversing the ball to the open man.

rockets need to take this one put it in the back burner, and take the mentality of tonight's game and bring that intensity to game 2.

But it was a great game by the ROCKETS.

Like many have said here time after time, Kobe can score 30 points all he wants to if he shoots 30 shots AND has only 5 FTAs and one made three...I'll take the win...

If the post players don't get warmed up for the Lakers, then they're in trouble...They have to be able to run a consistent half court offense with Gasol, Bynum, and Odom. Bynum was having a good offensive game but got into foul trouble. Getting Yao in foul trouble should have been priority #1 for the Lakers.

I see an "upset" coming if the Lakers don't make those key adjustments in the next few games...and Phon...I mean Kobe needs to keep his FGAs under 20 unless he's getting at least 15 FTAs...
