The Official Denver Broncos Discussion

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- With running back Willis McGahee on injured reserve with a designation for return, the Broncos have signed running back Jacob Hester, the team announced on Monday.
The team also added running back Jeremiah Johnson back to the practice squad, where he spent the first 11 weeks of the 2012 season.
A fifth-year pro, Hester has rushed for 319 yards on 94 carries (3.4 avg.) with one touchdown in 62 career games (23 starts). A third-round draft choice by the San Diego Chargers in 2008, he spent his first four seasons in San Diego.
Hester is also a receiving threat out of the backfield, having caught 55 passes for 308 yards (5.6 avg.) and three touchdowns in his career. He's also made an impact on special teams, having posted 36 tackles and scored two special-teams touchdowns.

Hester played 52 games at Louisiana State University, running for 1,780 yards with 20 touchdowns and catching 60 passes for 454 yards with seven receiving scores. He fumbled just once in 364 career carries and was a starter on LSU's 2007 National Championship team.
Johnson has rushed for 77 yards on 14 carries with seven catches for 62 yards in eight career NFL games.
With the addition of Hester, the Broncos now have five backs on the active roster: Hester, Lance Ball, Chris Gronkowski, Ronnie Hillman and Knowshon Moreno.

Gouki, you know the funny thing about this season is that the Broncos are on a 7 game winning streak but it is NOWHERE near the hype or attention of last year's 6 game winning streak.

You could say it's because Tebow is not the QB but I think it's now because people actually EXPECT the Broncos to win these games and the shock factor is nonexistent.

I have no problems with it.

I just watched a video of last years in-home celebrations of the Steelers playoff game and you can tell most of the excitement came from shock value. Peyton Manning could do the same thing and it will be ho-hum cuz it is now an expectation.

You know your team is good when when winning becomes "ho-hum" to the media.

The defense is getting the credit they deserve, because last year they kept us in alot of games last year..

I just dont understand why people act like we had an easy schedule...We had the second hardest schedule and yet you have people still doubting our record...

All I've been hearing all moring is they need to beat NE and Houston...which is bullshit because everybody was saying before the season started that it may take this team awhile to gel and yet when it comes the teams we beaten...They said we havent beaten anyone..

We wasnt even at half of our strength in the 3 loses and we kept the game close....Can you imagine how the Patriots and Texans game are going to be in the playoffs...

It seem everybody is underestimated this team and I like it because I will not be shocked when this team beat those two in the playoffs....

Our defense and offense is in the top 10 in scoring and total yardage and plus all three phases of the team is playing very well...

After watching the Ravens game yesterday,I think we can go into Baltimore and beat them with Ray Lewis....

Lets not forget, our team aint nowhere near the ceiling compare to NE and Houston...The Broncos are going to be dangerous in the playoffs...:yes::yes:

Man people are funny. Going into the season everybody was talking about we going 7-9, 6-10 because of how hard the schedule was and how much the Broncos sucked and how bad the defense "is" etc, etc.

But now that we're 9-3 and winning games, now all of a sudden we have an easy schedule? That's not how it works.:smh:

The 3 teams that are ahead of the Broncos in the AFC and the best team in the NFC the Broncos will have played some point in the season but that's an "EASY" schedule?

How about they come and beat the Broncos now and our best rusher out for the season and we still are winning games. The Broncos are a GREAT/ELITE team.

You had people say San Diego and KC will win the division...You even had Philip Rivers talking shit about Manning being in the division....:confused:

You have Falcons fans talking shit on their messageboard saying they want see us in the Superbowl...:hmm::hmm:

Like I said,we havent play our full potential yet and when we do,we're going to be dangerous.....:devil::devil:

I dont understand how people can say talk about our schedule when the New England Patriots always have a weak schedule....Atleast we had the 2nd hardest schedule in the league :hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm:

What are your thoughts on our defense compare to what yall had when Manning was there.....

We're #3 in total defense and #9 in scoring defense...

We're #5 in total offense and #3 in scoring offense....

:cool::cool::cool:

Sweep the Chargers..........check

Sweep the Raiders.....check

Next...the Chiefs

Offense:B
Defense:A

Fox needs to stop being so conservative when we have a lead.....:smh::smh::smh:

thanx

I have a few issues with the team and whenever they decide to fix them we can be hard to beat..

Fox needs to stop being so conservative because that will not work against New England and Houston....

Turnovers again...I dont understand why we turnover the ball so much....

Our second string RG has been giving up sacks every time he's in there....looking at you Manny Ramirez....:hmm:

Im very pleased with the team, especially with the defense because they took alot of shit from the media last year...Hopefully,Del Rio stays for awhile...:smh::smh:

SO many folks eating crow right now. All those doubters at the beginning of the season, i'm laughing at you.

Knowshon even out here playing his best as a Bronco. Von Miller.......nuff said.

Im very concern with Fox conservative play calling when we get a lead...This is the second game, that allowed team to score points at the end because he want to play not to loose...Can do that with teams like Houston and New England in the playoffs...:smh::smh::smh:

We been playing aggressive for most of the game and he wants to be conservative at the end....:hmm::hmm::hmm:

Its funny how people say we wasnt making to the playoffs/have 9 wins/wont win the division ......with Peyton Manning

If we can win 8 games with Tebow,we certainly could win atleast 3 or 4 more games Manning...

Did you see next year's schedule....that I posted up

Just checked it out. Everybody knew that they would have to schedule that DEN/IND game next year. Get to go against the NFC East. Nice. I can't think of the last time we haven't played NE in the regular season.

Not too bad.

Fox and his conservative playcalling is definitely a concern. Remember at the beginning of the season they would ALWAYS run it on 3rd down instead of going for the 1st?

Fox likes to play the "Field Position game" but it can definitely backfire.

Houston pretty much has that top spot sewn up so I'll be rooting against NE so we can get a better hold on that #2 spot.

I will guaranteed you they are going to make the Indy/Denver game a prime time game.....No way in hell they should make that a regular 1:00 game...:smh::smh:

Im also concern with Ramirez, every sack that's been given up been his fault...I would of thought they would fixed it but they haven't...This is why we need Kuper in the playoffs because every time he's in the game,we dont give up sacks..

Im rooting for RG3 and the Texans...:dance::dance::dance:

And someone need to tell Matt Willis to learn to block because he cause us a big gain on a screen pass...I dont know, how I feel about him because everytime Manning throw his way something bad happens...:smh::smh::smh::smh::smh:

AFC West is pure shit. Broncos aren't going to the Super Bowl unless they get to play only AFC West teams in the playoffs. Yea I'm hatin'.
