Unless they become sign other players and become competitive, why would he stay? He could simply sign for Cleveland for 21mil, and be guaranteed to be on a winning team for the next five years.

You're thinking with you're heart not you're mind on this one. Would you pass up $35M not 2 or 3 mil, but $35M to play with a "winning team", in this economy? Dude just had a little baby and a gold diggin' baby momma. He's going for the cash.

Besides why would the Raptors sign him for that much, just to finish under 500. Bosh is worth more on a team that is ready to win it all, than a 2nd Fidel team like Toronto.

Raptors will sign Bosh to that amount for a few reasons.

1) He's a cash cow for this team. Between jerseys and other merch that guy sells for them, the Raptors can't allow him to just walk. The 2 other "stars" they have can barely speak english. Could you imagine having Calderone or Bargnani speaking at a corperate function to lure investors and sell lux boxes, disastrous.

2) Tracy McGrady. Damon Stoudamire, Chancy Billups, Marcus Camby and Vince Carter. With the exception or Camby, all of those allstars were given away by the Raptors for pennies on the dollar. When VC was traded for basically cap relief, the fans were ready to string up the GM. Do you think fans will accept being on the losing end of a Bosh deal :smh:. The Cavs have nothing to offer for Bosh. If Bosh is traded ( I won't believe it till I see it) Teams like Miami, Chicago, NY or Portland have the inside track on a sign and trade, Not the Cavs

man , Brown is a clown, If he insists on Having Z/vrejao on howard , atleast Commit to running magic out of the 3 Point line. How hard is it to see you are losing coz they are Heating up behind the 3 ???

i can't disparage coach brown for sticking to his guns. i speculated after G1 that he selected the wrong guns, but at least he believes in himself enough not to waffle.

that said, i believe you specifically can attest that all along i've been saying that he's had to choose his poison (inside v. outside), and that i would've opted for the latter.

at any given time, there are at least 2 (sometimes 3) perimeter players who can nail the long ball for the orlando magic. last time i checked, there was only 1 of dwight howard. it only makes sense to me that you'd attempt to address the greater (in number) threat.

The Raptors will attempt to sign him, no doubt, but like the others who left Canada, Bosh will most likely opt out, and try to sign with a high profile team, increasing his marketability, and his chances at winning a championship!

I wonder who was "guarding" Skip? I know, I know, somebody else forgot to rotate.

if you remove rafer alston from the equation, the orlando magic are STILL shooting 11-26 (42.3%) from behind the arc.

that's plain UNACCEPTABLE. they averaged 38.1% in 3FGAs during the regular season, but are shooting even higher in the post season. but coach brown still refuses to re-evaluate his strategy.

people insisted that coach johnson made a mistake by doubling shaquille o'neal. i believe that wasn't a mistake. i do believe that it is a mistake to double team dwight howard. play him straight up, and don't give up any dunks. put his ass on the line. zydrunas ilgauskas only had 3 PFs tonight. ben wallace only had 1 PF tonight. WTF?

dwight howard has 4 games in his career where he has taken 20 or more FGAs. only 2 of them have been against playoff caliber teams. 1 against portland, the magic lost by 7. 1 against the cavaliers, the magic won by 1 point. i say make dwight howard prove that he can carry the orlando magic on his shoulders by taking away the perimeter and play dwight howard straight up.

if the orlando magic do close out the series, i'm wondering if all of the "it's fixed so they can have a lebron v. tobe finals" people will retract their previous comments.
I've never heard the phrase "LeBron vs. Tobe" before, but you probably have a point here. You can't equate it to wrestling as some people do.

Hell, while it's undeniable that it's a short term loss for the NBA in terms of ratings, would it really be that horrible for Dwight Howard and Carmelo Anthony to emerge as real stars? Their stature would certainly be increased.

You notice how there were 4 magic players ready to converge on James if he drove to the hole and the fifth on just in case? (If the defensive player of the year needs back up like this, what is it really saying?)
Until the Cavs players start hitting the open jump shot, they will continue to do this. Once LeBron gets the right players that can open up the lane for him, he would be truly unstoppable!
Last check, Kobe was getting stopped single handedly by a stomach flu sick Carmelo!

they better learn how to defend that pick and roll.

Can't do it with the personal they have. They are undersized and lacking the lateral mobility to properly defend the pick and roll. Asking them to do it is like asking a defensive line averaging 235lbs to try to stop the run attack of a line weighing an average of 322.:smh: All the coaching in the world ain't going to make that happen.
Look the Cavs played much better than expected, being that they are handicapped with the same financial problems that are haunting the Knicks. It it truly shows how amazing of a ballplayer LeBron James is! Oh and before you guys get too happy with the Cavs losing, just remember the Cavs dead money would all be freed up in two years. Giving them a 50 million dollar lump of cash to play with.

Commi$$ioner $tern is going to have all hands on deck for bullshit and fuckery Thursday. First, I bet Dwight will get a Tech for getting off the bus too slowly before the game starts. Second, LeBronze will continue to run over the Magic like he is Jerome Bettis and get all the calls. Then look for some dirty ass shit form Varejao trying to hurt Rashard or Turk. I already see it coming
