Well the Knicks may move up in the draft - rumor, but possible. This Cleveland team has already overachieved this season, I don't see them getting much better unless they make some major moves. First real test in the playoffs and they're down 3-1, and just think. If Lebron doesn't hit that shot, they're swept.
Could we have an Orlando Magic/Shaq situation. Orlando was poised to be the new dynasty, and Shaq bounced.
Any team with Lebron will be a playoff contender. NY has the cash (barring any huge change to the new deal) to bring in a Lebron AND an Amare/Bosh type player.

You have a few good points there. But no one on the team wanted the rock when Lebron was covered.
Cleveland Cavaliers are built to compete in the regular season.

But don't argue with Alex cuz all he does is base his opinions on players on how he feels about them emotionally.i know kobe fans can be ridiculous sometimes but i honestly believe a lot of people hate on kobe for who they think he is as a person. i personally dont care bout his personality it's all about performance to me. when kobe team plays poorly they say he's not a leader he doesn't know how to motivate, he's a ball hog. they said this for years and kobe has had some bullshit squads. lebrons team is playing like shit he gets no blame people just tell it like it is and say his team is full of shit. but however this is not the lakers nuggets thread. i'll be active tomorrow in that thread n we can analyze that. hopefully i'll b in a position to talk shit. either way the shit is all for fun to me
When LA lost to PHX in the first round after being up 3-1 Kobe got a LOT of flack for his performance in game 7 of that series. However his starting lineup consisted of Kwame Brown, Luke Walton and Smush Parker. Three guys who wouldn't start for any other playoff team if you paid them. They lost to the team with the MVP, three all stars, 6th man of the year, and Kobe still caught hell on this board, and people felt he should have been able to win with that horrible squad.
Conversely, Lebron gets no criticism from those same people, for being in a similar situation.
I won't criticize Lebron, because I don't do it to Kobe, or even Tmac. The first two are playing all out, a couple changes here or there and they're winning. Lebron has to carry the load because no one else is even giving him a hand.

Yeah, he said that when Cleveland was dominating. Before they dominated he flirted with the idea. I don't think he'll leave, but the odds just got better than they were a month ago, when it was very improbable.
But one thing is pretty certain. Lebron WILL opt out. It will keep his options open if they don't win this year or next, and it will put pressure on the front office to make major changes and bring in another guy who can create his own shots (funny how LA and Cleveland have that same exact need, and they both have trouble now). Lebron will take the chance of opting out, because even if he does have a career ending injury, he's about 200 million in the bank so far.
