I talked about this last year when I saw Boston take it from top of key to basket and Caitlin got credit for assist..lol... And for people to be saying it's been like this for "awhile" tells you this is some of that new age basketball stuff

I remember us having assist discussions last season and speaking on this.

It aint the same. The stat-keepers give credit when they shouldn't. I saw a player inbound a ball, the receiving player caught the ball, didn't dribble for 5 seconds, then made several moves and shot a mid-range --- and they credited the inbound passer with an assist. That's just terrible. The inbound player had no part of the basket being scored.
