The Official 2025 And Beyond WNBA Season/Women's Basketball Thread

There are a couple of teams that could use Ari. The Sky is one of them (don't know wtf they are doing). But she always plays hard/well on both ends of the floor and this season it looks like she's gotten a bit better.
I've seen about 5 players get signed since Aari was released, I was sure some team would call her as soon as the Fever released her

I regard women's basketball like I regard country music. I can only listen to so much country music until I get tired of that twang. I can only watch so much womens ball until I get tired of that lay up line. Lower the fucking rims already and dunk the ball!

Except she did finish 4th in mvp
And she did come in and tear it apart
:roflmao:
I said “Some”

I hate to break it to you but women dunking isn’t gonna make women’s basketball better to you.

This is cool

But them not dunking isn’t the reason that you’re not interested in women’s basketball.

Ok, so hear me out. In all of women's sport, there is one and only one sport that has not changed itself to be able to offer EVERYTHING that you get when you watch the men play. That's basketball. Dunking is way more important to the game than many people are willing to admit. Would Jordan be as popular as he is if he couldn't dunk? Before you say "yes", I'll have to remind you that his symbol is his flying in from the free throw line....to dunk. Shaq's symbol is to dunk. Count every dunk from the games that are still on and then look at the crowd every time it happens. The women's game has so much to offer (fundamentals, last second buckets, general drama and story lines), but at the end of the day it's 99 and half and the old saying goes 99 and half won't do.

One thing about me is that I'm honest.

No Jordan wouldn't be as popular without the dunks. He's "Air" Jordan. Nobody's interested in seeing him jump high on his jumper! :roflmao:

But there's differences vs men's and women's sports and we've all come to accept that.

Women's softball/baseball doesn't have as many home-runs as men's.

Women's boxing doesn't have as many knockouts as men.

Different sexes have different power and attributes and that's just nature. And we've come to accept that.

If the lowered the rim for 8th and 9th graders, then dunking wouldn't be more exciting to watch.

Quick question, is this really that exciting to watch?

These ladies struggle with lay ups
I'm supposed to believe once the rim is lower we'll be seeing eastbay funk and foul line dunks
:roflmao:
In my opinion, women dunking isn't gonna make the game that more exciting. Especially if they lower the rims to do it.

Do I wanna see hoes get dunked on? Sure, but that's not the end all be all to elevate their game.

In my opinion.

Shit Jordan's most famous move in an actual game might be a lay up
