*****The Offical CAVS vs CELTICS thread*******

WELL HE'S BEEN IN THE LEAGUE DAMN NEAR A DECADE, SO HE BETTER GET TO IT.

LEBRON WINS 5 BACK-TO-BACK IS RIGHT ABOUT THE SAME ODD OF BEYONCE WINNING THE NOBEL PRIZE IN PHYSICS NEXT YEAR.

NO OFFENSE, BUT ...

Rondo is serious man People forget last year he was averaging a tripe double in he playoffs...........dont forget about glen davis last year in playoff he played big........this is a good ass series......Orlando is waiting:yes::yes: I'm picking Boston in 6

winner of game 1 take the series 79 percent of the time.....i'm just saying LOL!!

I Picked Boston in 6.....It could been 5 if boston won game 1 like they should have........But Clearly Boston has outplayed the cavs except for Game 3............I still Dont think either Team has enough to beat ORLANDO:yes::yes::yes:

but 32 points at home in a Game 5..........WOW!!:lol:

True, and I have no problem with them being the favorites, but I fully expect the C's to win. No excuses. I've always said, I didn't care where we got seeded as long as we didn't have to face Atlanta. I think we're good enough, when we're playing to our potential, to beat both the Cavs and the Magic.

Still, I have to admit, the Magic are looking better than I had pegged them to be.

It does if you see reoccurring trends. The bottom line is that the Celtics are going to have to do something they haven't be able to do in the regular season, and now in the first game of the playoffs, that is learn how to close out games. Matter of fact they even had some problems closing out the Heat, so this would be a area of great concern if I were a Celtic fan, right now.

Where did you see me say the series is over? Don't, try to put words in my mouth!
If you read correctly you would see that I just said that it appears to be an ongoing trend, to all the Cavs/Celtic games, where the Celtics, led by Rondo, come out the gate, looking like gang busters, only to have the Cavs come back at the end! Think, they was up by 11 and lost by 8 that was almost a 20 point turn around, once again.
The deeper the series goes, and the more tired the Celtic legs get, the worse it may get.
And that is not coming from a fans point of view, but rather as an observer of the NBA!

I hear what you are saying, but the Cavs beating the Celtics in the regular season is not the trend I was referring too, because stuff like that always happens. I am looking more at the way the Cavs beat them, always coming from behind, always Rondo coming off strong, and always the Cavs making the necessary adjustments to lock him and the rest of the Celtics down.
Until the Celtics show me they have an answer to this, then I think Boston may be in some real trouble. Especially because fading at the end of games, is usually indicative of a aging team (I.E. the old Magic Lakers who lost to the Bulls, and the Old Pistons of just a few years back.)

Pierce looked old and tires, Garnett started off looking like the truth and ended up looking like a spectator, Rondo went M.I.A. as soon as they put the bigger Parker on him.

Its more than one game, its a trend, cause every single game the Celtics play the the Cavs they always fade away at the end of the game. And in these games Rondo goes off at the beginning only to get shut down, in the fourth. If you can't see this obvious trend, then you must be blind.
Plus it stands to reason that a old stale team have problems finishing off tough grueling games.

I think the Celtics Answered a Lot of questions........That Not to say Cleveland cant come back and win the Series.......Im saying the points I was making about anthony parker and mo williams not being enough for cleveland is valid..........even jamison sucks hate to say cause he is a nice guy.......Shaq is not the answer.........And mike brown needs to be Fired.........Because even if the Cavs come back they aint goin beat Orlando and LA.........The Cavs Need a LEGIMATE NUMBER 2 PLAYER they dont have that now.......:yes:

yeah it should be over by now:smh:

Orlando is undefeated in the Playoffs so they are the front runners!!

Orlando was down 3-2 last year when KG was watching the game in his suit

They don't have the coaching or mentality to win a championship

The fact they are undefeated IMO is an indication that they are due for a BIG slump

No way they beating the lakers, Stan Van Gundy can't out coach phil jackson and that's what you need to do if you are Orlando going back a second time

IMO I don't think they could get past boston...

if they face the cavs again they will be str8

but they ain't beating boston with KG healthy and Rondo playing world class ball IMO

Personally as a Magic fan I was more worried about Boston than the Cavs..........Boston Frontline gives our Frontline problems all day.......Yet i still think we can score enough to beat ya'll......But Doc rivers knows Dwight howard.....it going be a 7 game series....i just think Orlando will pull it out......younger legs and better bench will be the difference i believe..:yes:

Leadership plays a big role in the NBA

In the playoffs you have to put your team on your back not just with stats but with motivation and attitude and Lebron can't do that

Please stop blaming the role players their job is hard enough already

In the interest of truth in advertising, they have Vince and Nelson this time around ballin' for them. I don't think it's completely fair to use the 'no KG' argument.

The Magic look better than I thought they were, but they did play the Bobcats (probably the worst team in the 'offs) and the Hawks, whom they thoroughly overmatched. They're not battle tested. So I agree, the C's should beat them while the Cavs would falter.

A REAL CHAMPION CALIBER GREAT PLAYER WOULD BE PISSED AND EMBARASSED AS FUCK ABOUT HIS COMPLETE NO-SHOW IN A VERY PIVOTAL AND CRUCIAL GAME ... GAME 5 IN A 2-2 TIED SERIES AT HOME!!!!

Being in Chicago, i've seen a championship team and how it operates. I simply don't see what it takes to win a championship in this Cavs team. Lebron is a great player, but he is not a clutch player. At least not yet. This is why he isn't better than Kobe. He was shook in this game, period. He isn't an assassin. I don't know if it's something that he can learn to become.

They can come back and win the series, although I doubt that'll happen because of what I stated above. I'm simply not impressed with their roster. On the other hand, Boston has some tested future HOF's and one of the best PG's in the game. Their bench has been playing well, also.

You can tell the casual NBA viewer from a lot of opinion on television and also on this board. Anyone who thought the Cavs would have a cakewalk in this series simply based that on emotion (Barkley) or don't know the game.

For Lebron to get a ring he's gonna need to play alongside someone with heart, such as an D. Rose or D. Wade. He's a great player, but he doesn't have the heart of an ultimate closer.

No that proves they can down 3-2 they came back to win the series with a rookie SG and backup point guard...............................This year Orlando is health is right..........Jameer nelson is back...........Got rid of lee added Vince carter.........Much better bench this year..........Orlando is Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better this year playa believe that.........the defense is way better number 1 in the league in defense........Orlando will beat boston and face La.........lets not get ahead of ourselves.................Boston still has to close out the cavs.....it aint over yet:yes::yes:

Yeah atlanta is the only team that ran the celtics out of the gym every fuckin' time:angry:
The only reason that orlando is the the front runners is because they did not just beat atlanta they destroyed them. Atlanta was not in any of those games:smh:

man it's hard to believe that the cavs allowed themselve to be humiliated like that at home :smh:

beaten? okay, it happens. but HUMILIATED by a defeat like THAT?

I agree with you that boston may win, but the addition of vince carter changed them from last years team.

Are you sure that was in the 'offs? I thought I saw that gif weeks/months ago....

it was in tha regular season, a blowout against tha Bulls.. that was when Joakim Noah was callin LeBron corny when he was at tha free throw line

seen old man get out of tha picture when he thought they was gonna scrap?

Personally I don't think 2010 Vince is so much better than Hedo T that they are a completely different team with him

Nelson made it back to the line up iirc and even though he didn't they had Alston who can get the job done

Noooow to even pretend no KG is somewhere close to having no Jameer Nelson is a joke :lol:

Just off of position alone I'd rather be down a PG than out a Defensive Center in the NBA - not to mention a HOF Championship Center

Plus rondo is actually playing championship ball this year with or without the big three carrying him :itsawrap:

So sorry I gotta reject your deposit homie

Have you seen the way Vince has been balling in these 'offs? Nelson, too. (And he wasn't really back last year).

I'm not comparing 'no KG' to 'no Nelson', you are. I'm saying it's unfair to take that simplistic of a look at the matchup. This is a different Orlando team. They're playing much better than they were last year.

:yes:cosign..................my man been watching this year orlando team aint no joke..........better on offense and defense........it will be a good series

by the way the CAVS aint done yet...............it aint over.............Cant wait to see Game 6.......remember the cavs blew out boston in boston in Game 3.................

The Cavs could win Game 6..................and bring it back to cleveland it is possible.................................... wait a second aint that KG anything possible.....it dont look good cavs fans!!!!

Yeah you need to sleep it off cause you saying 'No KG' in the playoffs argument "isn't fair" :smh:

He's the best player on the team in most people eyes

No KG no Championship fam end of story :itsawrap:

Yeah Orlando got a little better but you don't seem to understand Boston is a different team with KG

I'll take Boston Beating Orlando in 6 if they get past CLE

The Difference the cavs havent Beat boston in a playoff series in the last 4 years.......ORLANDO HAS!!!:yes:

The only reason for that, is because Boston did not have to go through Orlando to win the championship 2 years ago. They did have to go through Cleveland!!! and last year boston was up 3-2 on orlando with no KG the entire playoffs and a big baby davis starting:smh:

I'll tell you this much.. Celtics vs Magic is gonna be a good ass series.. I like em both but I'm rootin for tha C's.. Dwight Howard isn't goin to have tha same advantage on tha C's like he does with other teams.. even he would tell you, tha only player that can fuck wit him defensively is Kendrick Perkins.. tha X-Factor in this potential series is gonna be tha bench.. 'how good is Boston's bench?' 'can tha Celtics' bench compete with Orlando's? and if not, can they sustain it'
