I'm not sure about that, because both have shown a few chinks in their armor..
Plus the Spurs are the best at adjusting to your style of play.
My main question is their health and the fact they gotta be road warriors this year. Last year they were the best team ALL YEAR and had homecourt. Plus, I know its not popular to say, but these are the Spurs, they never repeat and only win as "underdogs".
All you is saying is 100% correct and so convincing until you see the other teams in the west play.. The only thing I can see happening is that they lose their legs, and this can happen if the Clippers grow nuts and become a man and sock them in the mouth, but I really don't see that happening at this point.

As much as I want my squad (Rockets) to win the West, I don't think they can beat the Spurs and they definitely not beating the Warriors. Rockets don't have a point guard to match the elite point guard they'll face in the next series. They got away with it against Dallas but the lack of having another ball handler/play-maker will be their doom next series.

I'd love the Rockets to get to the WCF, and anything can happen, but the Spurs matchup is not a good one.

The Spurs is going to rely on their bench to get them through. The big three is looking real old right now. Parker is a step slow and non-aggressive, Manu is useless and Duncan is.....Duncan.
They are definitely beatable. Houston, Golden State, or Memphis are just going to have to knock them out. No reason for the Spurs to come out the west with these three teams hunger.

Yeah, it's actually kind of sad. They down 21 and there is nothing that makes you feel they are going to pull a Golden state in the fourth.
you don't have to be athletic to dunk the ball fam. especially as big as he is. just go to the rim and slam the shit. he don't have to jump over nobody. duncan can barely get above the rim and he still jams it from time to time.

I look at the west like this, the Warriors have to hit those three's plus they have to rebound those long rebounds...
While the Spurs are one of the best perimiter defending teams, and have a player like Lenard who long arms and his foot speed to disrupt outside shooters, they also have one of the best long rebounding players in the NBA... Not a good match for G.S.
Like the Warriors the Rockets love to shoot the three ball, but also have Howard one of the better big men in the league..
The Spurs again have Leonard to match up against Harden and enough big men to keep Howard at bay.. The problem for the Rockets is they have enough depth to challenge the Rockets lesser players... Not a good match up for the Rockets..
That leaves only Memphis as the only viable threat, but with their lack of production from outside, the Spurs should be able to pack the paint, giving Zack and Gasol all types of problems down low..
The way I see it, the Spurs biggest opponent in the west could be Father Time or injuries..

Lakers have a lot of decent bench players, the problem is in LA they're known as starters.
You saw first hand what happens when the light turns on with him. Truth be told he's shown up every game of this series. Duncan helped him game 2. the role players play way better at home than they do on the road.

go back in this thread. i said the spurs were not making shots. parker and ginobli aren't giving them shit and only leonard and duncan are playing to the level.. the clippers should make sure they win these 2 games because the spurs role players play way better at home.. almost lights out at home.
