I haven't really had any major issues with fam'. They've all been pretty good. My thing is that I hardly know any of my mom's fam'. They never cared for my dad, and my folks were married 22 years and split in the mid-90s. I visited mom's family for 3 weeks back in 1992, and that's the last I saw of some of them. Whereas the others I saw them briefly one night in the summer of August 2000/2001 when they were in town. The only reason I remember it being that timeframe is because I went to the Up In Smoke tour the next night. The other family members of hers I see them twice a year for a few hours. My dad's family have been local for the most part so I see them regularly, although they have been dying off. 1997 / 2006 / 2008 / 2012 for uncle / grandpa / grandma / aunt with my local relatives here. There's pretty much just my cousin and his fam', aunt and her husband, pops ... my bro's about 11 hours away, and mom about 4 - 5 hours.
