The Mayweather Method:

you again. you didn't read what I wrote. LMAO, funny. If you read it you will see it is not an anti PBF thread. But an anti state of boxing thread. Bad fights are being made and wwe are fools for buying them and into them.

No, its not. You come and basically bash PBF and dont say anything negative about Pac. BTW, you never answered my question if you are Pinoy or not

in order for PBF to secure a legend and myth like Sugar ray Leonard or Ali he needs a nemesis or at least 2 or 3 fighters that could seriously challenge his skill.

Leonard had Hagler, Duran and Hearns

Ali had Frazier, Forman and ken norton

PBF doesn't have anyone and a rep for being a "heel" in boxing which is why he keeps crying (literally) about not getting respect. Should fight Pacman in three bouts even if they have to orchestrate it. Floyd needs to lose the first one, Pacman loses the second then they can fight the last one straight up. Tons of cash would be made but also it would be billed at the PBF/Pacman Wars and that shit would be legendary..

More than a perfect record THATS what makes careers and legacies. A fighter with a flawless record is good...but a fighter who has to over come adversity and comes out on the other end damaged but victorious is GREAT and a HERO.

Thats how Legends are born.

Floyd needs a nemesis.

Well said

I fully agree that the thing separating Mayweather from Leonard and the like is his lack of strong adversaries, which is why boxing is trying so hard to make Pacquiao one since Mosley didn't work out. But it's unlikely that Pacquiao will be the guy to beat him (poor style matchup for Pacquiao) so what happens when/if Mayweather beats him in a lopsided decision or even late stoppage?
There are really still people who think Mayweather doesn't want to fight Pacquiao? Hate is a strange emotion.

Pacquiao is so hyped up now that there couldn't possibly be any excuses if Mayweather beat him. Mayweather could legitimately say, "Now what? Everybody shut up now." But until this happens Pacquiao will be hanging over his head and he won't be the consensus "man" in the division.

Also, there are people that are insiders that don't hate Mayweather that have given so called off the record statements and say Mayweather didn't want the fight. From Mayweather Sr's interviews, it seems like a fight that strategically they wouldn't want to jump on. In the end, the whole shit could be rumors but so could anything that we read as fans. My point is, just because a fan believes Mayweather doesn't want the fight with Pacquiao doesn't mean the fan hates Mayweather. It is very possible that Mayweather does not want the fight or does not see the fight going as easily as his fans do. Why should he really take any risk against a Pacquiao when he can still make 70 million against a Victor Ortiz? He really doesn't need Pacquiao to be risking his undefeated record against him.

Why? He has made more $120 million in the last 3 fights..His formula is working for him...As he has said, all those people who fight all the time soon become unable to enjoy their money.

Im not knocking his decisions from a financial perspective.

This is just my own personal desire of wanting to see one of the all-time greats fight more frequently during their prime...nothing more...

I'm referring to the part about Floyd needing to have this big trilogy with Pac where he loses one etc.which i quoted you on.

Thats why I said it should happen even if its orchestrated from behind the scenes. Whose to say that all those rivalries back in the day weren't set ups... At this point the only person of any real worth for floyd to fight is pacman. Mayweather would almost certainly have to lose the first one since he has the better record and the odds would be with him to win.

remember its about the narrative and marketing the actual competition is secondary.

c/s I can't fault the man for making money and at the same time I want to see him fight as much as possible.

I found this video interesting, especially for the folks who keep screaming Floyd always been ducking fighters his whole career.
