Watched the finale again….in my opinion, Season 2 on a whole was….good, not great.
Ellie was simply not written well. They write her to be pretty dumb and inconsistent. And for the most part, she’s not angry. She finds love with Dina, finds out she’s gonna be a “dad” (that scene was cringe), she’s generally in a decent place all things considered.
The scene where she’s mad at Jessie for not allowing her to defend the scar kid….was just silly. It’s a war and she doesn’t know him. Why does she care so much?
Also the scar island scene was unnecessary (i know it was cut from the game….unnecessary still)
Also the scene where Jessie was like “ you’d go through hell to find me” and she’s like “yeah i would”…….no you wouldn’t lol. You just left Jessie and Tommy to fend for themselves. You literally turned your back on them. (Which is more in line with the game version of Ellie) but she’s written inconsistently.
It’s not Bella Ramsey’s fault too. Her acting is good (not great), but she’s written like….well….badly.
I like show Jessie better than fame Jessie.
Same with Dina.
And Abby is played well when she’s on screen.
It’s not a bad season….but not nearly as good as the first one.
To be fair tho, the second game is not better than the first so……
I don’t give a fuck about Abby or what happened to her. I’m damn sure not going to wait three years to find out.
I might watch season three casually, but I’ve never gone from being completely invested to not giving a fuck over five episodes like this.

Season 2 straight boring trash, anyone who disagrees hasn't played the game or is an enjoyer of bridgerton and daytime soaps.
Abby really had the most epic moments in the game( ground zero, the descent)

Yeah I'm in the same boat...last video game system i had was a Sega master system. only games I would play on other people's systems was madden and although I wasn't familiar with the controls I used to whip everybody's ass based on my football knowledge.
I'm watching this without any prior knowledge...finally finished the first season and on second episode of the second season...I usually avoid zombie shit but this shit is well done, good character development, world building, suspense etc so far...
Finished 2nd episode....Holy shit!
