The Impeachment Hearings , House Vote and Eventual Trial ..All Updates ...AS EXPECTED... TRUMP SKATES

Now we listen to the turtle take his victory lap.... :hmm:

.

lol I laugh at you guys that seriously thought trump was going to get convicted when the GOP controls the senate.

If you ask me it’s just a waste of time. I truly hope the democrats focus on actually trying to win a election instead of looking to dig up more dirt that has no effect.

People in here was clappin back at me when I said he’s not impeached until the u haul is out in front of the white house. It goes on the record as one, but he didn’t go anywhere.

read my thread title.... "as expected"..... I knew you'd be the first one doing a jig for him...

He has been impeached, he just was found “No Guilty” by the majority in the Senate. He’ll still hav to live with being the third President to be impeached. That’s going to be the thorn in his side for the rest of his life. Now he’s going to shit on Mittens because of his vote.

If he loses the election then impeachment scar will matter and he will be scared for life.

If he wins re-election I don’t think it will matter that much as the people have spoken and impeachment was done straight party lines. When people look at the history books.

Honestly, I just hope the message is clear to enough people. Trump hasn't been lucid just this week alone (dancing through the anthem, giving hatemongers medals). If they can't be bothered to hold someone like this accountable, they're never going to hold anyone accountable. And that's the takeaway. Which we already knew, but again, this is the process.

When people look at history books, the pure fuckery of this administration won't be obscured by partisan bullshit tactics. Well, assuming we don't literally end up in a dictatorship that controls the information that tightly.

Hopefully, the information that will be released within the near future that the GOP didn’t want the witnesses to testify to during this impeachment trial will be enough to sway a few more electorates to the Left.

Well, you've tried to tell cats for a long time about this shit and just keep getting clowned and called a troll/trump supporter. You usually operated off the assumption that cats thought he would get removed. I tried to give folks credit and operated off the assumption they thought people would watch this shit and it would hurt him that way.

In the end, either way folks thought they were completely fucking off and not using logic. Fucking gallop poll got Trump at an all-time best? "B-b-b-b-but Nixon in 70s." This ain't the fucking 70s. Clowns just made him stronger. I'm still in disbelief seemingly intelligent people thought this HAD to be done. :smh:

I honestly don't think they will focus on the election. Some other bullshit idea will emerge from their bubbleworld and get the Maddow stamp of approval.

The history books won't give much of a fuck about Trump(assuming he just gets this one term). All of this shit is EMOTION. It ain't shit he's really doing. If he loses this election, it won't be about impeachment. It will be about something he does from now to then or the economy takes a huge shit on him.

If Trump lives long enough after office, they'll be hugging up on him like Bush jr. :smh: When he dies, it will be about 'respect' like Bush sr.

I can't speak on if he gets reelected though. If he does something that term(other than judges), history will look at him differently.

Everybody keeping thinking it’s republicans vs democrats but Impeachment is a internal war with Rich elitists within the United States.

The only reason gwb is considered respectable is because compared to Trump he kind of is.

the only way Trump is going to get that same kind of treatment is if the next president sets the bar even lower

See. This proves my point that time heals and dems are emotional. 12 years ago, Bush was just considered a war criminal by many on the left. Far worse than anything Trump has done so far.

I've heard Trump called a lot of shit, but not a war criminal.

What the hell does Obama have to do with anything or your just trolling ?

When Trump's campaign started the intelligence community had hella receipts on him. Obama decided to do nothing (as usual) because he's a "true believer" in our form of government. He thought that everything that would work it's way out without any intervention. The only intervention that did happen was with Comey and he actually hurt the Dems with his reinvestigation of Hillary. He also let his party ignore votes and choose Hillary as the candidate to be president when she couldn't even win the nomination of her own party. Obama is not the head of the DNC but as their sitting president he had hella influence. The Repubs treat trump as their leader despite having their own elected leaders. Dems don't do that so Obama should've flexed on put them all in check. Instead he did nothing.

first no one is holding parades for GWB....second... at this point, it's not just about trump...its about legal precedent.

Laws aren't based on just what someone put on paper...laws are based on interpretation and enforcement. Its why we have courts to deliberate what a law means in a given situation or circumstance and that's based on how convincing the interpreting argument is. That's the PROCESS. There is a reason why people keep referencing the intentions and meanings of the founding fathers when they came up with the notion of impeachment. Its why they're studying The Clinton impeachment and the one other impeachment process to get a guideline on how this all is to be determined.

In a real way, Nixon did a bigger disservice to the country by resigning than if he'd just allowed himself to be impeached because if he had there would have been arguments on both sides and a better guideline on how to proceed on this issue because he was trying to illegally influence the election of that time in his favor.

So NOW that the senate has voted to arbitrarily acquit trump it will mean that his lawyers interpreting argument was the prevailing one and ONE of those arguments is IF THE PRESIDENT ENLISTS FOREIGN HELP TO WIN AN ELECTION ITS PERMISSABLE BECAUSE HE/SHE BELIEVES THEY ARE ACTING IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE COUNTRY. That is an incredible Pandora's Box of behavior and action given to the executive branch of government. Because the president in this case trump was acquitted of wrongdoing means he can use that excuse to justify almost anything. And other presidents AFTER HIM will do the same thing.

Remember what Nixon said: In the context of American national security, Nixon replied: "Well, when the president does it, that means that it is not illegal."

That never got to be challenged in court because he resigned before it got that far and congress was less partisan then than it is now. So now that the senate has acquited trump they have in effect set a precedent that WILL come back to bite us all in the ass at some point in the future.

The only upside is politics is on a pendulum and sooner or later there WILL be a democrat/liberal president and he/she WILL be able to do as trump did and enlist foreign aid in their election and we get to see the republicans have a conniption and bounce off the walls crying foul about it but its a precedent they helped set.

Everybody needs to send their opponents money even you’re out of state, send money. That way the democratic challengers have a good chance to usurp these republican incumbents.

all in check with who as an alternative??? I'll wait...

Obama stayed off of the radar because he knew better than to try. Obama literally had to fight with his own party to push his own agenda half the time. He had zero support or crickets from a lot of the Dem leadership during his run, so I'm not sure how he could have "flexed" on anyone. The closest he got to that was signing executive orders because Congress literally refused to do their job.

Honestly, if it weren't fucking up the country and our world standing so much, I wouldn't particularly weep for most of the Congressional Democrats. If they knew how to fall in line like Republicans do, none of this would have gotten this far.

sooo what legal precedents have been set??

a sitting president can ignore subpoenas

a sitting president can enlist the help of foreign countries in our election

a sitting president can engage quid pro quos with government money for their personal advantage as long as they BELIEVE its in the public interest

a sitting president can bypass the proper channels to conduct personal business with foreign countries using public funds

anything else??

Why do you cats keep downplaying GWB? It's not about parades, but how the guy is getting a fucking pass like he didn't tear shit the fuck up. Now you cats are like, meh. Unreal.

Given the outcome was predetermined and the legal precedent you are talking about, this is either crooked shit by dems knowing one day they will benefit or the dumbest shit ever. Which is it?

Because anyone with a brain knew it was predetermined and democrats had access to legal knowledge, correct? So you basically saying they wanted the precedent OR they are collectively dumber than Forrest Gump. No other explanation.
