The Impeachment Hearings , House Vote and Eventual Trial ..All Updates ...AS EXPECTED... TRUMP SKATES

 Politico covered that 1999 memo. They FOX news now?

I don't get why folks always trying to kill the messenger around here. Listen. Shit is simple. Pelosi and them better stfu or they going to make it easy on Trump if he goes against Biden. Just take the damn L -- which everyone knew was coming -- and move on to talking about health care and what matters for the election.

you’re an obvious Trump supporter trying to hide behind a veil of neutrality . You and Forceether

Im not a republican or a democrat. I have no emotions to any party, that’s why everything I said in this thread came through.

I can see the chess game. Too many people see orange man is bad and are emotional when it comes to trump. I can see the hustle the media is trying to play to get Hits and Clicks and get paid.

All this “The walls are closing in” bullshit is a scam.

All this “The walls are closing in” bullshit is a scam.

The biggest scam is the selling of this whole "with us or against us" mentality. At the end of the day most Republicans also want free healthcare, free college, strict environmental protections, and limits on corporate influence in politics.

I also wonder if there is a market for a political news service that deliberately avoids talking about Donald Trump.

Impeachment was a big blunder. Democrats gained all most nothing from this. All it did was increase trump chances of re-election.

:) Sometimes I think democrats don’t really want to win. They want trump to win another 4 years.

Democrats are running on high emotions like bitches which is why they keep failing. You never engage in war over your emotions. You make yourself become sloppy and weak.
Doesn’t matter what they gained or didn’t gain. They did their job.

A President broke the law multiple times and abused the office of the presidency. He should be impeached.

Exactly. It's their constitutional duty to address and prosecute a crime when it happens. The fact that these numbskulls think the whole thing was a ploy (by the Democrats) other than a real crime tells you how mentally slow they are.

They are literally telling us Trump could shoot someone on 5th avenue.....

Gene Cisco and Forcesteeler are constantly talking like republicans. Even Soul On Ice is spewing that dumb shit. Ask them about something Trump did they refuse to answer except with but but but Obama or Hillary.

If Gene Cisco is Black he is married to a republican white woman.

This dude be lying.

A lot liberals need tough talk

It’s was a ploy. This is the first impeachment or any investigations into a president which there was no outside counsel like a special prosecutor.

From Nixon, Clinton, to even Russia With Robert Muller. You always get a special prosecutor to make the case more legit and non partisan.

Which look I don’t mind the hustle and games but don’t act like Democrats did it because they need too.

They used the Nixon playbook in which they thought all the heat will make Donald trump get a lot of backlash and hopeful he will resign.

But Trump is a NewYorker, you think dealing with Russian mafia and Italian crooked mobsters will scare him with pressure.

It backed fired and now the orange man you hate. Now has a better chance of getting re-elected because democrats always fuck up the Jaws of Victory. For dumb shit.

Im not a republican I just give tough talk and keep it real so your not stuck in a bubble believe bullshit too only be disappointed.

The Young Turks said it best.

1. Adam Schiff holds such a powerful position in overseeing the impeachment inquiry because the Trump Justice Department opted not to investigate a whistleblower complaint about a July 25 call between Mr. Trump and the Ukrainian president. As the Justice Department passed on an investigation, Democrats argue, it was up to Congress to investigate the call.

"The Justice Department was not going to get involved, therefore you're not going to have a kind of independent or special prosecutor. So then the House said, we need to prosecute this case ourselves, or at least begin the process. And that's what Republicans can't stand," said CBS News chief Washington correspondent Major Garrett said on CBSN on Friday. "They don't want Adam Schiff ... who they regard as a partisan leading the investigation."

2. trump had a better chance at re election simply because the economy is doing very well...and theres not much anyone can do to deny that...the clintons said it waay back in 1992 ITS THE ECONOMY STUPID!... no amount of arguing any other issues is going to make the difference and you know this.

3. you and gene cisco have the same lame argument which essentially amounts to DO NOTHING while complaining about both sides.

Polling showed Biden was the best bet to beat Trump in general election (at the time). #facts

Trump saw the polling and he along with his cronies decided to hedge their bets and create a scandal ala "Hillary's email". #facts

He demanded that the Ukrainian president "announce" that an "investigation" was underway or else they wouldn't get the money they were promised.#facts

Asking a foreign power to investigate an American citizen for personal gain is illegal. <----#facts.

All of this was corroborated by numerous people who saw and heard what he was doing.

Trump blocks witnesses and refuses to release emails (irony) that are prudent to the case #facts

Where is the ploy by the Democrats? Where is the stunt? The guy broke the law and abused his power. Only Republicans steeped in Fox news and Conservative entertainment TV believe none of the facts either happened or matter. Which one are you?

Trump’s approval rating is not suddenly 49%. That’s an outlier poll, not in line at all with the averages. TV pundits love to drum up ratings by touting outlier polls for shock value. The polling averages are usually proven accurate. The media usually misrepresents the polls. MSNBC and CNN pundits will tout Trump’s lowest approval rating poll number one week, then his highest number the next week, then his lowest number again the week after that. All while ignoring the polling averages, which haven’t moved at all.

This is not in any way unique to Trump coverage. Cable news networks have always done this stuff. The 24 hour news cycle sometimes forces them to create the appearance of news or movement on a given front when there isn’t any. To give you an idea of how absurd the cycle was this week, cable news hosts tripped over each other to report the new 49% approval rating number from Gallup, while almost completely ignoring the new 41% approval rating from Reuters. The 41% is about where the polling averages are. Reporting the 49% number in isolation, while ignoring overall data, is about as valid as reporting that a football team scored the most points in the second quarter, without bothering to mention that the team in question lost the game.

If you’re going to watch MSNBC or CNN all day and take what you hear at face value in general, keep in mind that what you’re hearing on TV about the polls is nearly always being reported incorrectly. Just filter out any polling analysis as you’re watching. Or let your favorite cable news hosts know that you’re tired of hearing them quoting individual polls out of context, and that they’ll have more credibility if they start placing new polls within the context of the polling averages.

Polls are highly useful when reported and interpreted correctly. Unfortunately, because cable news feeds you outlier polls for shock value, and then you later see that those polls have turned out to be wrong, many of you mistakenly conclude that the polls tend to be wrong. It’s commonplace to see cable news networks report Trump’s lowest poll number one week, then report his highest poll number the next week, then go back to reporting his poll number the next week, just to create the appearance of movement in both directions – even as his average approval rating doesn’t move an inch.

Even in 2016, the final polling averages were correct within the margin of error. After Comey’s last minute letter, the polling averages had Hillary Clinton up by four points in the popular vote. She won by two points, which was within the stated three point margin of error. That’s not much consolation for the past three years. But it shows that the polls do tend to be correct. It’s the people yelling out-of-context poll numbers on television who ruin it for the rest of us.

As stated above there was no special prosecutor because the president's pick for AG declined to appoint one. Barr expressed in writing his favorable opinion of the president's ability to invite who ever he desired to interfere in American elections. It was exactly that opinion that put him on the prez's radar and lead to his selection and confirmation. So, if prez manipulates the process through that appointment there by obstructing, really blocking the investigation congress should just sit on their hands? You would have congress say well nothing can or should be done about it.

What the hell are you guys talking about. The AG and or Congress can appoint a special prosecutor. If that was the case. You would not have Robert Muller if you left the decisions to trump and or the AG

Independent Counsel or Special Investigators
Congress passed the Ethics in Government Act (EGA) in 1977 to create a federal process for appointing special investigators.

  • The AG would run a preliminary investigation and if further probing was necessary, the AG would petition against a three judge panel to appoint an independent counsel.
  • Congress could also compel a special prosecutor and appoint a independent counsel to start that investigation.
  • The Special Investigator could prosecute federal crimes related to the investigation or interference into it, such as perjury, obstruction of justice, destruction of evidence, and intimidation of witnesses.

Nobody thought he was getting removed. I really wish you cats would stop with this nonsense.
That’s a god damn lie. I been following these trump threads for a while in here trying it wake dudes up from this false hope.
and watch out for the next chess move with mitt Romney. I don’t trust his vote either. Probably just voted against trump so they have one Republican as a plan b if trump polls get spooky

We all know he should be out. I don't think anyone is disputing that. We also know that the senate wasn't going to remove him. Hell, even some cats on here knew that. There are also some idealists who thought truth, justice, and the American way would come shining through and the republicans would turn on him.

Here's the huge fucking problem. Since the outcome was predetermined AND any objective observer realizes that this would be spun to his advantage, why do it? It's a fucking fact that if the democrats didn't pursue this impeachment this scandal would have died much like the others. American people have short memories. All that idealistic nonsense about 'rule of law' just might have sealed the fucking election for him.

Yeah, only republicans steeped in Fox news think Trump is innocent. At the same time, only democrats steeped in bubbleworld nonsense thought this impeachment was a good idea. I'm just glad this fail is out the system.

I think he forced their hand by obstructing every single one of their investigations and then insisting he had done absolutely nothing wrong. He did it because he knew his party would circle around and protect him less they wanted to loose their seat. With one exception they were all too afraid of him to even listen to witnesses against him. Everyone in the capital knows he's bat ish crazy. The Dems knew it was a very long shot that he would actually be found guilty and removed from office. Still it was the right thing to do, just on principle.

There is no forcing their hand. Remember just a few weeks back when we were in world war 3? Remember democrats being pissed about not being told about the hit? Remember the talk of bombing cultural sites? What became of that? Who even talks about that shit any fucking more?

Point is we move fast. What's new one week, is gone the next. Trump realizes that and plays that game. Dems don't. And it's not about giving Trump a pass, it's about avoiding 4 more years.

In politics, you can either do the right thing or win. Politics is crooked as shit and it's mostly about perception, not facts. This basically came down to doing the right thing and getting 8 years of trump or playing politics and reducing that to 4.

With all respect, I submit that his WW3 attack on the Iranian general while certainly controversial, with such little justification, was clearly within his realm of authority. Think Obama's hit on Osama. The difference is that this time even his own party was upset with how it went down.

Encouraging, inviting foreign powers to use their state apparatus to influence our elections is beyond anything ever. There are lots of laws against foreigners participating in, or attempting to influencing our democracy. It was the founding fathers worst nightmare. They feared the European powers dumping money into influencing the colonies elected leaders into returning to England or joining another empire.

People understand the move to a 24 hr new cycle and it is unfortunately the new normal. The same goes for the fact that soooooo many politicians are crooked. That said, there will be books written about who stood up to him and who didn't. Having done what they can, now move on.

Dude theyre ALL lawyers...schiff's a prosecutor and what difference would an indy prosecutor have made once it came down to a senate vote???

I'll wait...

According to the Code of Federal Regulations (Title 28, Chapter VI, Part 600, Section 600.1): “The Attorney General, or in cases in which the Attorney General is recused, the Acting Attorney General, will appoint a Special Counsel when he or she determines that criminal investigation of a person or matter is warranted.

The acting Attorney General at the time, Rod Rosenstein, appointed Muller. Show me where Congress has authority to appoint a Special Council.

2. You do it because you assume damning information would come out that would surely sink the president. It did. We saw it, no one knew how far Republicans would go to cover it up. The world saw it.

Funny thing here is, I actually have less of an issue with him saying that he looks better now (which kinda plays like an actual quip from him for once) and more of an issue with all that "joking" he was doing about how most wives wouldn't be there for their husbands. That felt more authentically cringey. Mind you, the whole thing is bullshit, but I'm just saying.

I have NEVER seen a motherfucker with a more charmed life than this asshole.....seriously. donald trump is the living embodiment of white male privilege if there ever was one.
  • this nigga was worth 200k when he was 8 years old.
  • he was a millionaire personally by the time he was 16...all trust fund/inherited
  • he was barely a student at the military academy he went to.
  • Everything he failed at, all he had to do was transfer more of daddy's money over to himself and ante up again...to the tune of HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS transferred from fred trump to donald over the 80s and 90s.
He's NEVER been held accountable for ANYTHING in his LIFE...mind you the nigga is in his 70s... whenever he fucked up there was always a phalanx of lawyers, fixers and enablers who covered for him or made it go away. This dude is supposed to be a proponent of pro-life...I'm willing to bet you he has at least FOUR ABORTIONS on his record thru the free love 60s, fuckfest 70s, and coked out 80s...at LEAST 4 and 2 are probably mexican or puerto rican...some kind of brown-skinned domestic he harvey weinsteined then daddy paid off or threatened... to get rid of the kid (does that really sound far fetched??)

And now he's about to be a TWO TERM president bringing more prestige to a name that should not have it quite frankly.

Its incredible and not surprising all at the same time.

America's reaction to electing the first Black man president for two terms is to elect a white nationalist directly after him. THAT'S AMERICA in a nutshell.

Bruh, I said how I would have handled it in real time on this fucking board while it was going down. It's documented in threads going back a long fucking time. Why do I have to keep stating my position and solutions?

Wait. Support for those who looked the other way during a crime? Like the Iraq war vote and Hillary Clinton getting a promotion? Did she or other democrats suffer for not doing the right thing and costing lives? Hell no.

These the same fucking cowards who just last year threw their own under the bus when called out on Israel. Remember that shit? What was the right thing to do then? Calling rightful criticism anti-Semitic behavior wasn't the right fucking thing.

The point is dems constantly are forgiven for not taking action or doing the right thing. It's politics, not an episode of Leave it to Beaver. The constituents ain't shit and have short memories. :smh:

This bullshit would have been forgotten by now and Trump wouldn't have been beating his chest with another W. Don't believe me? I'm making it up? Go look for talk about the Iran general, cultural sites, and all the world war 3 shit on CNN or FOX. It's like the shit never happened. Went from Trump violating treaties for talking about bombing cultural sites and all the assassination shit to fucking crickets. Russian talk is dead too.

On to the next. News cycle is a bitch. Constituents are easily manipulated. This fail didn't have to happen.

on top of that...yeah its common knowledge that politicians triangulate when it comes to doing the right thing...but that doesn't negate the fact that right is right and truth is truth regardless of how and when you do it.

Thwarting a bank robbery becuz your looking for a reward more than actually care about stopping a crime doesn't change the fact that you stopped a crime from happening. In that moment a good thing was done regardless of the intentions of the person doing it.

Trump should have been impeached for his violations....he did it and you don't dispute it.

Are you fucking slow? This the last time I'm going to respond to you. I got posts going back months on this topic.

To make it simple for you, I said impeachment was a mistake and dems should solely focus on the issues and try to beat him in 2020. And no, doing both wasn't an option since fails give Trumps Ws he can use in the 2020 run. I've commented numerous times that Pelosi deserves respect for keeping these emotional asses in check, but she finally caved.

Shit wasn't hard to call since I'm not in my emotions over Trump.
