They know it’s a backlash. Now some democrats are calling for using the censorship clause instead of impeachment.

If the democrats move to impeachment.

The GOP will have a field day in the Senate. They will call every witness especially Joe Biden and His Son. Plus not to mention tie up almost every democrat that is running like Warren. Harris, Cooper, etc because they have to be there everyday.

Joe Biden is the front runner and you know the GOP will play dirty tricks to fuck up the Bidens.

If this bumbling "Cuckoo for Coco Puffs" conspiracy spitting idiot had anything on the Bidens …. let alone four decades of shit .... Trump would have been taking baths in the files by now …. Dracula here is about as credible as that DVD Avanatti had locked in his safe ... :hmm:

This fucking "walking corpse" right here …. he always looks like he's wearing mortician's make-up ,,, this sack of shit Trump sycophant needs to be put in a room alone with Malcolm Nance for a few hours … :hmm:

Sen. Kennedy takes back Sunday comments on alleged Ukrainian intervention in 2016

Sen. John N. Kennedy (R-La.) walked back on a comment he made Sunday supporting the debunked theory that Ukraine hacked the Democratic National Committee's emails in 2016.

"I was wrong," Kennedy said Monday night on CNN. "The only evidence I have, and I think it's overwhelming, is that it was Russia to tried to hack the DNC computer."

The Monday night revision follows a comment the senator made over the weekend that appeared to reflect a largely discredited conspiracy theory. Fox News' Chris Wallace on Sunday asked Kennedy whom he believed was responsible for the 2016 hack, noting that the U.S. intelligence community resoundingly agree Russia was behind the attack. But Kennedy responded, "It could also be Ukraine."

But speaking with CNN's Chris Cuomo on Monday, Kennedy said he misheard Wallace's question. The ardent Trump ally said he'd thought Wallace had said only Russia interfered in the 2016 election, and Kennedy was skeptical of ruling out Ukrainian involvement as well.

"I don't know nor do you, nor do any of us," Kennedy told Wallace at the time

The remark reflected a conspiracy theory frequently repeated by President Donald Trump and that he had asked Ukraine to investigate — a major point in House Democrats' impeachment inquiry. Fiona Hill, a former top White House adviser on Russia, told House investigators Thursday that the idea Ukraine led a campaign to tamper with the 2016 election was "a fictional narrative being propagated by the Russian security services themselves."

While speaking with Cuomo, Kennedy cited a POLITICO article from 2017 that revealed Ukrainian efforts to expose ties between Russia and Trump's team. Several Republicans have been attempting to equate those efforts with the systematic, top-down intervention by Russia in 2016 — a campaign longtime observers determined Ukraine would be incapable of carrying out.

Former special counsel Robert Mueller determined in his report on the 2016 election that Ukraine did not lead a major effort to undermine the U.S. election by violating campaign infrastructure in the manner Russia did.

So, it begins. 45 is now saying that he didn't direct Rudy to do anything. I guess they're going to go with the "Without the President's knowledge" play. Looks like Rudy is going under the bus.

Too bad we have the transcript he wants everyone to read, directing folks to speak with Rudy and Barr. If Rudy was acting as his personal lawyer or on his own, he shouldn't have been directing other countries to speak to him during an official gov't call.

NONE of this matters to them. We are truly in the age of "Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?"

Trump and counsel invited to take part in upcoming impeachment hearings

(CNN)The House Judiciary Committee has invited President Donald Trump or his counsel to participate in the panel's first impeachment hearing next week as the House moves another step closer to impeaching the President.
The committee announced that it would hold a hearing December 4 on the "constitutional grounds for presidential impeachment," with a panel of expert witnesses testifying.
House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler sent a letter to Trump on Tuesday notifying him of the hearing and inviting the President or his counsel to participate, including asking questions of the witnesses.

White House won’t take part in first House Judiciary impeachment hearing

The White House informed House Democrats on Sunday that it will not participate in the Judiciary Committee’s first impeachment hearing, excoriating Democrats’ impeachment inquiry as a “baseless” and “partisan” exercise in scathing five-page letter to the panel’s chairman.

The decision indicates that President Donald Trump has listened to his allies and some congressional Republicans who argued that a White House presence at the hearing would validate a process they have harangued as illegitimate and partisan.

It also means Trump will lean heavily on his closest GOP allies on the panel — including Reps. Jim Jordan of Ohio, John Ratcliffe of Texas and Matt Gaetz of Florida — to mount an impeachment defense during the Judiciary panel’s first hearing on Wednesday featuring legal scholars.

“Under the current circumstances, we do not intend to participate in your Wednesday hearing,” White House Counsel Pat Cipollone wrote in a letter to Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.), adding that “an invitation to an academic discussion with law professors does not begin to provide the president with any semblance of a fair process.”

Nadler had asked Trump to indicate by Sunday whether the president himself or a White House attorney would attend Wednesday’s hearing, an offer that Democrats said was an attempt to afford due process to Trump as he faces a likely impeachment vote before the end of the month.
Nadler has also asked Trump to reveal by the end of the week whether he intends to participate in any aspect of the Judiciary Committee’s impeachment proceedings, which are expected to continue into the following week. Notably, Cipollone left open the possibility that the White House would participate in future hearings.
