We had these conversations months back about an impeachment inquiry.
Basically I said at the time:
Trump would not be testifying
Trump administration would still defy subpoenas
Trump’s approval rating would remain the same
Republicans would never remove him
He would not be resigning
He would not be perp walked out of the White House
He would be exonerated in the Senate and declared 100% innocent.
Trump would spend the rest of his term declaring himself completely exonerated of all crimes
Dudes were coming at me hard saying these things wouldn’t be true lol.
But...
It was obvious. We’re well on the way to this result.
This impeachment had to happen, but too many people held these false hopes that it would change anything
After the Senate trial is over, the best thing we’ll have is that finally, the delusion so many on our side had that Trump would be removed will be over, and we’ll have no more distractions and no choice but to focus on the 2020 election.

Republicans spent almost 3 trillion dollars and the deficit is almost 23 trillion dollars but you don’t hear them complaining anymore. Now it’s back to deficits don’t matter
