Nina Turner had no intentions to actually try to pass legislation at all. Her only desire was to be the nay sayer in the Dem party doing all she can to hold up legislation. You've seen that with the entire squad.....no legislation but lots of performing for the lily white DSA and Sunrise Movement.
What you're going to see with the exit polls is the same things you see with most of these DSA candidates. They don't win Black voters.....they get in because white gentrifiers vote for them. That how AOC and a few of the others won.
Sorry but I don't care for politicians that are the darlings of groups like DSA and Sunrise Movement.....groups that are 95: white and love saying how we need to move away from identity politics (civil rights) and will tell you that class >race.
I don't think it's a fair assessment to say that she had "no intentions of to actually try to pass legislation at all" bruh and I think it's even less fair to suggest that the entire squad is on that same accord. Amassing the political will to pass legislation takes time, legislative pushes ,$$money $$ and popular sentiment. What you're suggesting is a given considering the small Progressive footprint in a decidedly lukewarm Dem majority that this somewhow impugns the efforts of these junior lawmakers (and would be law makers like Nina). I would argue it speaks more to Establishment Dem complacency, fundraising (including Republicans) and short sightedness.
Looking ahead to 2022, if Biden and this DEM MAJORITY are unable to deliver seriously on the mandate they were given (which like it or not includes a good deal of "progressive" expectations) these sick Republican fucks are going to George Jefferson walk right back into easy Midterm and 2024 victories. I haven't seen much of anything that will animate a big Dem turnout in 2022 and am utterly baffled by the confidence you and others demonstrate on this front.
