The Conjuring...will it be good??? (it is rated R)

I would have my doubts but since its from the directors of Saw and Insidious, I may give it a shot.
Its hard to find a good horror movie these days.

Won passes to the advance screening of The Conjuring this past Wednesday, June 26th. Brought our 3D glasses along & made our B-line over to see Man of Steel (3D) instead. That's how we do.

I'm hoping so. The first trailer had me hooked. The newer extended trailers are giving too much away so I'm anxious to see it. I actually liked Insidious for what it's worth, so I'll give it a shot. I'm not going to the theaters though.

the best horror movie was the one the wayans put out with fine ass essence atkins

I really want this to be good, but I read an article this week that said people in the audience were laughing at it during a screening at the LA Film Festival.

Same thing happened at the spot I went to in Georgia.. we all thought somebody made a horror movie about "The Clapper."

I want this to be good I'm in on this one. I'm still convinced that one day they will make a horror movie that will scare me as much as the excorist did. I don't think this will be it but I'm still gonna go I'm guaranteed at least one jump from the previews.

In the meantime any of y'all check out paranormal witness on syfi channel it's pretty good me n my kid watch it on ondemand on the weekend.

You must be having daily communion with the devil himself to come up with fucked up plots like these! :smh:

I'm good, I'll stay on the safe side.

I saw this movie last night, fucking theatre was packed! Muthafuckas was jumping and screaming. Not the blood and gore type, it was the I'm gonna make you jump of your seat type of movie. It was good!:yes:

Ain't gonna lie, I jumped outta my seat too. Bitches was laughin' at me.:hmm:

Its the typical white family moves into a haunted house where the wife tries to kill the kids. The same movie comes out every year. Save your money for when it comes on TV.

I saw it last night. Its just like the rest of these scary movies.
House is possessed, people seeing things, scary looking old demon lady..yada yada yada. Whatever.

Saw it today. It didn't do anything for me. It was a well made movie, there wasn't anything glaringly ridiculous, I just didn't find scary. It seems to be getting pretty good word of mouth out there, so I guess there are people that are feeling it, but it just didn't get under my skin or bother me the way, say Insidious did.

There was one scene where I did jump, but split-second shocks don't necessarily make a movie scary. Not with the tricks directors have at their disposal like sound design and clever editing. A truly scary movie will have you pinned to your seat once it gets rolling, or checking the house when you come home.

It's rated R but this is the kind of film that would have been PG-13 in the early 80s. There's no gore, or vicious on-screen murders like Sinister. It's just the exposition scenes and images of bodies hanging from trees is probably what tipped it to R.
