I never tied or tightened my Timbs..they just look better that way but I will tell you if you get a size too big and do that you will have some fucks up feet (I learned the hard way)Is it me, or do yall think it's rude and uncouth to tie a pair of timbs? I see people wearing them and when I see them tied, I feel disgusted and upset. Ruins my entire day. I need therapy...

Timbs ended up becoming the snow shoveling boot of choice during the winter as I got older. I ended up rocking Vasque & Asolo boots for fashion. Timbs just lost their appeal to me especially when they started making all types of horrible looking variants.
The only acceptable tied laces look. Anything tighter than this is disrespectful

FUUUUUUCK! I never knew that shit man!Never had a size too big. I woulda probably tripped lol.
Y'all do know that for the life of the boots, they are warrantied. My boy told me that years ago, he used to grind down the sole, wear them for a while after to make it look natural at his business, an auto body shop, and just call them up and they replace them or they will send you a gift card.
I did it to a pair I had forever when the glue separated the sole from the shoe. They sent me a gift card for $145. I bought another pair on their site that was on sale and two pairs of sandals.

If they don't still make them, won't get the same pair back. The pair I returned had Timberland embroidered around the whole back. Think I may of even gotten them at the outlets over maybe 10 yrs ago. I use them them to do work around the house in. So didn't matter to me anyways.I got a couple old pairs I been holding for sentimental reasons.
I will test this out. Its probably still a good idea to have a fresh pair on deck.
Or grab some sale items off the site with the gift certificate.
Thanks, for putting me up on the game.

You can use the card, if you get one, on their site or any Timberland store.

It's always been a Bklyn kat to out me up on g on this since the late 80s when you'd have to type or hand write a letter to a specific dept concerning the lifetime warranty while buttering em up on being a long term customer.Y'all do know that for the life of the boots, they are warrantied. I remember being a young teen and broke, so I couldn't drop $60 or 70 on Timbos back then. Hadda wait for that Xmas money, lol... Sad thing is, it isn't so much that the boots are overpriced, it's the devaluation of the dollar. Even those fake leather construction boots cost $50 now.Fam it's damn near $200 for a regular pair of construction Timbs now! I remember at most costing $125 for them & $100 for the lower end ones that had the real soft rubber soles growing up.
lol..my uncles, cuzz, and some friends been knew bout the lifetime warranty..they be getting new free boots every yr for decades..hell 1 of our boys use to go around collecting people old boots than getting new pair and selling them shits..this nig would sell 100's of timbs each yr..than timb caught on and gave him a lifetime banNever had a size too big. Fam it's ridiculous how many times I've seen thatas well as katts wearing tapered jeans or khakis choking the top of their timbs. I saw it mostly down south and Midwest though.smh at niggas tieing their timbs. Wtf. Bamma shit.
I do..... Uptowns af1's , 1's.... all the same shit. I dnt know who we is..... I know who I am & what I do. Sounds like you one of them follow the leader types.....Who from NYC calls em AF1s especially if you're from Da Bronx? We always call em Uptowns
I'm not from that hell hole.
I love pun though. Can we talk about how wack drag on is?
What type of jeans to wear with Timbs, boot cut?Fam it's ridiculous how many times I've seen thatas well as katts wearing tapered jeans or khakis choking the top of their timbs. I saw it mostly down south and Midwest though.
He was the best looking tho![]()
It's not really a matter of what type of jeans you were wearing but how they were worn. If the pants cuff couldn't even make it over the boots and were just choking the top of the boots, that shit looked tacky and out of place. Cuffs like that are supposed to go behind the tongue. What type of jeans to wear with Timbs, boot cut?
