Thank you Spurs for FINALLY putting the MJ vs Lebron debate to rest… FOREVER!!!

I picked the spurs to win in five before the series started. But you cant blame Lebron for that coaching job. Putting Beasley in for fucking what.....what was he supposed to address? What coaching adjustments did the heat make. I saw none only trying to adjust sfter they were down.

Jordan fans have to ignore his failures for the majority of his career. He played 15 seasons and only won 6 Finals. The other 9 years he didnt appear and even was swept out of the 1st round twice. It took MJ 7 seasons just to make a Final. Tim won one his 2nd season and Bron had Cleveland in the Finals in his 4th.

This^^^^^^

I fucks with Jordan but these kats go overboard with the dick riding. He's the greatest but MJ was getting his ass beat every year until chi town got the best at every position to "help" MJ win those titles. That's including a great coaching system as well.

Jordan hated losing, LeBron is kind of used to it.

I can't agree with that.
It looks to me like the difference between Jordan and Lebron is coaching and front office management. There is no way Reinsdorff and Phil would have kept guys like Chalmers around this long without looking to upgrade such a serious deficiency at pg. They got as much out of BJ Armstrong as they could and dumped him when it was time. For Chalmers, that was two years ago.
Phil wouldn't have allowed them to continue playing such brain dead basketball, taking bad shots and ridiculous passes (Lebron, when Duncan is guarding you out at the perimeter, take it in, don't pass).
Spoelstra's a good coach but he still lacks a certain gravitas and at times, looks like he's not in control of the team. I'm no Phil Jackson fan but he never gave off that impression.

LeBron James is the John Elway of basketball to Michael Jordan's Joe Montana. He'll be remembered as being a great player, but he will never be undefeated when it comes to Championships.

Fair enough.

Is it necessary for Lebron to be undefeated to surpass Jordan as the goat

It seems to be the way and that's a strange metric. So if Lebron goes on and like Duncan, wins a few more championships but not in consecutive years, somehow that tarnishes his legacy.
Strange logic.

He aint 2-5

he lost to the spurs as a cav......if Jordan ever took the 89 bulls yo the finals he would have lost as well. Lebron gets punished for making the playoffs

Yep. Jordan benefits from many years of early exits.
Strange logic.

Russell was the greatest of his era, not (IMO) greater than MJ. The NBA was still a very young league when Russell played. Not taking anything away from him, but the game was very different when Russell played compared to Jordan's and LeBron's era.

Robert Horry has never been in the discussion as a GOAT. he was never the focus of an offense and never the number 1 guy on a championship contending team.

This discussion is between MJ and LeBron, stop trying to throw in other basketball players to "support" your view, it's not working.

The NBA changed rules to stop Russell.
The NBA changed rules to help Jordan.
Russell is the greatest.

Who is the best coach Jordan faced.......Jerry so alone........

1st niggas is arguing fact with hypotheticals and puttin words in niggas mouths saying shit like: "you Jordan fans think 8-1 is worse than 6-0" when the guy they are arguing for has only won 2 and lost 3.

Rofllllll niggas resorting to coach arguments for their lame shitty arguments now.

Sloan, Daly, Pat Riley.

Jordan toasted Sloan twice and Riley 3 times before Riley decided to retire Jordan's jersey in the arena Lebron plays in.

In fact if Jordan never existed, Riley would be 2nd all time with at least 7 rings behind Auerbach.

Lmao tho. U can't win the individual argument so u have to go to coaching to help your shirty arguememt
Btw,

Rofl @ 17ppg and 35% shooting in the NBA Finals against Single Coverage.

during those early exits, was Jordan ever considered the GOAT, or best player in the league?

Yeah. Jordan was the NBA's brightest star in the mid 80s as Bird and Magic were slowing down and Isiah and the Pistons were winning championships.
Jordan was already considered the single best player anywhere as the Bulls were getting thumped every year by Detroit.

Chuck Daly

In the Finals, I'd say Sloan.

If we look at his entire playoff career I'd say Pat Riley when he was wit the Knicks. Daly was a great coach, but I feel them old Bad Boys Pistons squads had more talent than the Bulls til Scottie and Ho Grant emerged. Them Knicks squads had a bunch of outcasts, rejects, and grocery baggers on their squad. And Riles had them cats going to war wit the Bulls in their prime. Riley is the best coach that Jordan ever faced IMO.

He was a "really good" player in the mid/late 80s, but once his "Like Mike" Gatorade campaign which took off in the early 90s, he was put him in the stratosphere of being great.

MJ 6-0 in Finals appearances....
LeBron 2-3 in Finals appearances....
5-2 in finals appearances

:lol::lol: at really good player he already won the rookie of the yr and had a scoring title in his first 3 yrs of the league and had 4 scoring titles by 1990 ..he came into the nba mid 80's 84 to be exact..ya dudes do everything to try to make dude look regular

pat riley..oh yeah pat never beat jordan in a series

But Chuck (3 times), KC Jones (2 times), Don Nelson (once), and the mighty Brian Hill (once) have. Not sure who the coaches were that knocked his Wizards squads out of playoff races in '02, and '03.

He was not considered the GOAT next to his predecessors (Magic, Bird) at that time.

His greatness didn't shine until that first title against LA. The rest is history.

MJ cant get out of Bron's shadow. THE ONLY TIME he is mentioned is in reference to LeBron now. That will not change over the course of the next 10 years. Cats say its no comparison but they sure do make sure to bring him up whenever Bron lose. #23 and his fans stay leeching off Inkosi's brand.

Riley is OVERRATED… :smh:

Riley's coaching job with the Knicks in the Finals was atrocious…. :smh::smh::smh:

what about all the great coaches lebron face in the east with there under 500 records..i wonder how many hall of fame coaches we'll remember out of the east that lebron faced during his era..bulls would've been in the finals every yr playing this era..lebron cavs wouldn't or the heat back in the 80's or 90's:eek::eek:..imagine if jordan played with another finals mvp or scoring title winner like lebron had to

yeah the showtime lakers hated those 5 rings they won with him or how bout that heat team that won..everytime they say bullshit u hit them with hardcore facts to keep them quiet

he's rite jordan wish his sneaker brand was moving like lebrons:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:..nig releasing kicks from 30 yrs ago and still moving better than bailout bron...bailout bron i need assistance in everyway to be great..i need an finals mvp and a allstar pf..i need acting skills from denzel to master my flop...i need the refs to call ghost fouls..i need melo..i need durant please league bail me out

Well, the first three are really Shaq's trophies. Kobe was Scottie Pippen.
He led the Lakers to the last two.
Lebron has never had an opportunity to be anyone else's Scottie.

so should duncan only be credited with three championships as well? since he didnt get MVP for the other two? Was Duncan a Scottie to Leonard and Parker?

The Show Time Lakers NEVER out-strategized anybody… They weren't hard to figure out… They just ran through niggas… and The Heat team was LOADED.

so i guess larry brown is the greatest coach in nba history according to u since his team wasn't loaded:hmm::hmm::hmm::hmm:

So your saying Horace Grant, Scottie Pippen, John Paxson,Toni Kukoc, Dennis Rodman, Ron Harper, Bill Cartwright, B. J. Armstrong and Steve Kerr wasn't better players than what Lebron has on his team right now? Hell Luc Longley, Scott Williams, and Will Perdue where better actual centers than anything the Heat has had. And no Bosh is not a center. He's a PF trying to play center.

shaq only has 3 chips cause he was scottie to wade ring

zeke only has 1 chip since he was scottie to dumars

bgol nigs need curves to justify their bullshit..hey lebron would have 5 rings if the nba would've gave him a 20 point head start for each game(bgol logic)

MJ 6-0 in Finals appearances....
LeBron 2-3 in Finals appearances....
:rolleyes::rolleyes: Oh yeah, I forgot....Basketball is a 1 man game. 1 man determines the success. Also Robert Horrey is better than Michael Jordan since he has 7 rings.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Edit..... Robert Horrey is also better than everyone since he's undefeated in the NBA finals. He's 7-0. Lets put this discussion to rest... Horrey is better than Lebron, Kobe, Shaq, Jordan, everyone... SMH
