Test audiences HATED Deadpool 2

Always question the source...
:puzzled:
They said the same thing about Wonder Woman before that film came out and that movie was a huge hit.
Also, in the "Age of the Angry DC Fanboy", any film with the Marvel logo on it is subject to negative campaigns to undermine them.
They allegedly tried it with Black Panther, Thor: Ragnarock, Civil War and Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. II.

unfortunately i can buy this one. but of course we can wait to see.

The Winter Soldier>>>>>>The First Avenger

X2:X-Men United>>>>>>>>X-Men

Captain America: Civil War

apples and oranges - the movies you listed all tested very well and had good buzz during production
negative campaigns were limited to bubbles

Deadpool is NOT a Marvel movie

Wonder Woman test screened 3 different versions of the movie and multiple reshoots before and after screening 2

The first Deadpool was Ace Ventura on steroids. Extra corny with decent action. It was good but not great. To reach for a second one is like the 2nd Dumb & Dumber. It’ll still do well.

Ummm...
Yes dude.
Deadpool IS now a Marvel movie.
Disney now owns the ENTIRE Fox movie and TV library.
This includes The X-Men franchise, The Fantastic Four franchise and yes, The Deadpool franchise as well.

Now, I'm pretty sure Marvel will allow X-Men Dark Phoenix and Deadpool 2 to be released as planned by Fox before both properties are absorbed into the MCU completely.
But yeah bro, Deadpool is now totally a Marvel Cinematic Universe property....

As for Wonder Woman; it was plagued by multiple reports of it being a bad film prior to its release. In the end though, it was all a bunch of bullshit and the movie was great... :D
That's what I figure will happen with Deadpool 2...

Not yet. Deal was never finalized last I remember.

Deadpool is all Fox.

What comic storyline do you think Marvel will use to incorporate the Xmen into the MCU?

New Secret Wars? Age of Apocalypse?

They've spent a decade not mentioning mutants and focusing on the wack ass Inhumans.

When they bring mutants to MCU I expect timeline / alternate universe gymnastics to make it work.

1st one will prove to be a fluke. This will bomb like everything else that annoying cac touches. I said the casting for this one was bad since Cable was announced. And I can only imagine how he (Ryan Reynolds) overdid the cheese on this one.

they don't own it YET. and all production for this movie had nothing to do with marvel.

With the Infinity Gauntlet, they will be able to reset the entire MCU as they see fit...with the X-Men and F4 when they eventually have those rights.

Yeah that's the obvious choice, using the time gem and such.

When the deal gets finalized it gives Disney immense creative control and pretext to write out highly paid guys like RDJ, Chris Evans, etc.

Also can get rid of the Jen Lawrence X-men, even though they started with so much potential.

Honestly bro, I'm not sure.
But I suspect that Marvel is now gonna start making references to mutants in their films from now on.
I doubt they're gonna stick with the current cast starring in the X-Men films. Which is kind of a shame because I VERY MUCH like McAvoy and Fassbender as Xavier & Magneto.
However, the rest of the casts can go IMO. (Although I'm sick of Jennifer Lawrence/Mystique being so much of the focus of the films).

But we'll see... :dunno:

I cannot wait til they recast the X-Men. Outside of the first two films and Logan, they have been wack.

I believe McAvoy, Fassbender, and Lawrence signed an "all or nothing" deal with Fox mandating that if one is re-signed to a deal then the other two must also or none of them do it.

If that's the case peace out McAvoy and Fassbender, I loved your portrayal of Xavier and Magneto but fuck bringing on JLaw.

They can find new young actors like the new Spidey.

Man they have all sucked (exception being First Class i believe). Logan was watchable and very decent, but only "good" by comparison to the other XMen trash we've been fed the last nearly 20 years. I hope we get a quality XMen film before its all said and done.

No disagreement here.

Too bad they cast Ben Kingsley as the Mandarin in IM3, I would have loved to see him cast as Professor X, with Rutger Hauer as Magneto.

Yes bro.
It's a DONE deal.

:dunno:

Not done. Go ahead and post YouTube videos from December.

I'll post stories from three days ago.
http://collider.com/marvel-fox-mcu-kevin-feige/amp/

"We’re still a ways away from that deal going through, but one wonders if studio chief Kevin Feige and his vast creative team are already thinking about the possibilities of having the X-Men, Fantastic Four and the like back under their own roof.

In a chat with EW, Feige was asked just that. His response was pretty much what you’d expect, but it’s exciting to know that even more possibilities await Marvel in the future whether or not the Fox deal goes through at all. Feige stuck with the party line about the next phase of the MCU that’s already been announced; they do have quite a few films to release over the next months and years after all. But he did add a little quip there at the end that teases just how anxious Marvel brass are to have their original IP back in the shop."

Speaking of which.. Man i just saw the BP box office list ... How the fuck did IM3 make all that money!!? That film was utter shit. Had no idea it grossed so high. As for X tho, i think Stewart was actually good as Prof X.

My unpopular opinion: First Class was the best X-Men movie.

That's the only one that touched on the ideological differences between Xavier and Magneto juxtaposed over the Civil Rights movement.

While it had its cheesy moments ("Mutant and Proud"...ugh) it didn't feel like a typical super hero movie.

Peace to Darvin...

the deal has not passed regulation so it is not final.

Our pending acquisition of 21st Century Fox will expand our ability to drive long-term value as an extraordinary entertainment company with the content, the platforms, and the reach to meet the growing demands of consumers around the world,” Iger told shareholders on a conference call earlier this morning. When Iger was asked about Disney’s intentions for Fox Searchlight if the acquisition is eventually approved by the proper governmental agencies, the CEO responded:

http://www.slashfilm.com/fox-searchlight/

two key phrases here:

1. our pending acquisition.

2. eventually approved by the proper governmental agencies.
