Donald Trump has made numerous public comments about his daughter, Ivanka Trump, throughout his career, often focusing on her physical appearance in ways that have been described by media outlets as inappropriate, lewd, or sexualized.
Comments on Howard Stern Show (2000s)
In several interviews with radio host Howard Stern between 2003 and 2006, Trump made several notable, explicit comments:
"Piece of ass": In 2004, when Stern asked if he could call Ivanka "a piece of ass," Trump replied, "Yeah".
Voluptuousness: In 2006, when asked if Ivanka had breast implants, Trump replied that she had not, saying, "She’s actually always been very voluptuous," and described her as an "amazing beauty" who is nearly 6 feet tall.
Dating: In a 2006 appearance on The View, Trump was asked about a previous comment where he suggested he might date his daughter if he weren't her father. He responded by calling her a "beauty" and agreeing with the premise, saying, "If I weren't happily married and, ya know, her father...".
Comments During Presidency (2017–2021)
According to a 2023 book by former Department of Homeland Security official Miles Taylor, Trump made inappropriate, sexualized comments about Ivanka's body in front of White House staff. Taylor wrote that these comments were so unsettling that then-Chief of Staff John Kelly had to remind the president that the woman in question was his daughter.
Other Comments
"Look-alike" Comment: In 2025, during a White House Christmas event, Trump paused a speech to point out a woman in the audience who he said looked "unbelievably" like Ivanka, calling the resemblance a "great compliment".
Admiration: On several occasions, he has spoken highly of her intelligence and business acumen, referring to her as an "exceptional young woman".
