Tamir Rice's Mom Has Words For Tamika Mallory and Other Activists After Watching

I think a lot of this has to do with a recent story where it was said that the Black Lives Matter organization raised about $90 million last year and the families of some of the most high-profile victims of police shootings, like Mike Brown & Tamir Rice, didn't get a cut. And the word is that a large portion of those funds were redirected to LGBTQ organizations.

This...is what bothers me... brah

true but check this , ..quick question , anybody stopping anyone in those blocks from running a black food truck ?
we got those on deck..especially where I'm at..like we really got those..so keep building..we got some black owned stuff around here..just gotta keep it..Nip had his own shop..keep building..black dollar recycled...

And Tamir's momma has spoken to Tariq on many occasions, those are his talking points completely...

ambulance chasing attorneys is a direct shot, that's Tariq 100%.

Glad she sees the hustle, little too late as she's been silenced...

Hope Tariq talks about this on his podcast, he needs to go deep but I doubt he will.

that was the purpose of that report, i started seeing that shit right b4 the election , i had a few words on insta with these white bitches sending me to these bogus sites & memes and u could tell the purpose was to poison the convo in hopes people stop protestin n bringing the heat & kicking up dust ! i shut them down with "BLM is a movement not an org or a building "its a call for justice for over policing & criminalization of black bodies & any other discussion u bring into it that isnt an attempt to end the siege on black bodies is an attempt to silent black voices .. they left the room

we might be alright..time will tell..but we here..man..I went to check my oil on my car the other day..one of the homies rolled up on me..we chop'd it..but I just remember him saying..you still around..that stood out..that was a compliment..you know..we lose a lot of ours and its cool to see your old school homies still looking and doing good..all that said..we here..gotta continue...

My suggestion..we need our own..there's a Asian community in almost every city..Hispanic community..even out here in L.A. they have taco stands setup on off blocks and they people be lined up to recycle their dollar with their own..we need some type of togetherness..all I know..til then..we can complain like we been doing...

Every other group but us still has their "culture" intact meaning that they have a language, religion or even a national identity that they can unite around and start businesses etc. Imagine if instead of being Korean, Japanese, Chinese etc. people were just asian and had to find something in common despite not having a common language, religion, festivals etc. Most "ethnic" communities get started catering to people who only speak their language, eat their food, practice their religion etc. and then use that $ to go legit. This is what makes slavery in the US one of the most destructive acts in human history. :smh:

the dynamic of the west creates these situations and america's human & historical landscape exacerbates it,but a true understanding of self & history that evades alot of people would cure this so we wont be dismayed either way

From the start, Black Lives Matter has been about LGBTQ lives

Your damn right, it was!! But like always, when you point this shit out. Folks wanna start fighting and defending the shit they see on fucking cnn, msnbc, abc or these social media platforms!! One-day our folks gotta unplug from the television, media, music and sports!!

MFers ain't never seen a police line in their lives up in here talkin sheeeet
Activism is just that. ACTIVE-ism. It has NEVER been just talk or just marching.
MFers upset at Mallory because she took it from the street level (and I was there when BLM started ON THE STREET with NO WHITE people)
and now she is on an international stage having conversations with democratic movers and shakers like Bernie, Biden and VP Harris
Whatever the platform and however she got there, SHE GOT THERE and zoomed right past Cornel West and them corny MFers
Movement made more strides in 2020, than I've seen in my entire adult life. White cops actually going on trial for MURDER now.
Other inroads have also been made but I am not going into all that. Nothing but love and respect for the YOUNG people of this era

someone who gets it ! ^^^ some these cats so stuck in the movies & 60s stories that they forget the world is changed and things evolve n we must evolve our tactics, there's more than one way home.. i was there over last summer in the streets from midtown manhattan to barclays center to deep in flatbush watching cop cars burn, ... theres many side to it! ,
but the fire it sparked in alot of the youth is what the elders r failing to recognize and harness ,its like they want these kids to engage in THEIR OWN BYGONE ERA instead of guiding them to escape the traps n mistakes they made

BLM movement with whatever faults folks can find has done a lot of good , it sparked a new desire in the youth to activism

last line is the biggest crime ever in history and it worked and we can't seem to shake it..that's why I hate when we hurt ourselves..everything that has been done to us..and we are still here..but we dog each other sometimes...

Some folk in here mad because some activist getting paid, so what do they post to support their position.......some other activist mad because they ain’t getting paid.

Cops going on trial because of the widespread use of video cameras. BLM ain’t the first time niggas tore shit up behind police brutality. And it never mattered. What mattered was VIDEO.

Another problem is everyone thinks their way is the only way. An old activist once told me “it takes tree shakers AND jelly makers.”

90 million raised...where the money at

Really dude? To victims families, pay for legal costs, hire independent investigators or forensic labs that may evidence differs from what police states. Billboards to keep pressure up (ya man Jason Black does that).

:hmm: If you don't know what you're taking money for - why are you doing it in the first then?
I was about to respond again but clearly he's crazy

Couple of things:

1. I told ya'll about Ms. Rice yeeeaars ago! Years!!! She does not play well with others, let's just put it like that.
2. There are a lot of grifters in the black death industry. I understand the frustration. People are literally making a living on black men dying.
3. Mallory is interesting. She does some shit I don't necessarily agree with all the time, but she didn't back down when they came for her over Farrakhan.
4. You have to meet people where they are. It's the Grammys. If they want 'Da Baby' to stand up for black people so be it. It's just entertainment. They damn sure ain't inviting Public Enemy or Dead Prez up there to perform.

Thank you for your response. A lot of people just spouting off with no understanding or focus of what they are talking about, just talking and blaming BLM for failing to do something it seems they could not do themselves, i.e. institute a plan. Very few are capable of reasoned responses.

I am not taking money; and I presume neither are you. It seems BLM is taking money in great sums. I have no idea what they are doing with it. If you know specifics of where it has been spent, please enlighten me. I am curious.

How much would you pay families? What would the criteria be? As far as lawyers suing the police for wrongful actions, most law firms take those on contingency fee basis, so no need to spend money there..that is on the law firm.

As far as billboards, do you agree or disagree with using the Grammy's to spread the message? I see that as one hell of a 'billboard'.

90 million raised...where the money at
Not sure I agree with Tamir mom's but there is obviously a back story that I am not aware of....that being said this right here needs to be explained....did you raise 90 million?...what is it being used for?...there are people coming at BLM so the best way to shut them up is to show the money is being put back into the movement...transparency is important for any progressive movement as lack of transparency is one of the main ways people use to tear down such movements...BLM should address this immediately

The thing yall getting wrong is BLM the organization which is headed by some white woman , where as BLM the MOVEMENT is a totally different thing. Tamika Mallory organization is Until Freedom. Does she raise money yes. How else do you bail people out of jail for peacefully protesting. How else do you pay for plane tickets and staying in hotels for months at a time (Brianna Taylor case). The bottom line is I think yall need to stop confusing the two and do a little research
