Greygoose...much appreciated bruh. Not sure what the difference between the two are, just know that on my old laptop that died, I had the gold edition. I got it off of BGOL...so I never really investigated the differences.

I'm using the AT&T 8525 for business and personal phones

if you put an mp3 in that phone, does it not use that mp3 as a ringtone if you wanted it to? like cant you go to ringtone then point the mp3 file as the ringtone of choice??

the blackberry does.

Yeah it does, but you know how you only want a certain portion of the song as your ringtone instead of the whole thing? I usually cut a three minute mp3 ringtone to about 35-45 seconds...plus it saves a lot a memory.

i feel you. im the same way. but i use an audio editor like soundforge. i just find the music i want, open with soundforge, then cut out the portion i want. then when i save it, instead of saving it like 256k and higher i save it like a 128kbps file and it ends up being like a file less than 1mb.

i hate installing extra programs when i can do it myself especially when it comes to ringtones. i've been making my own ringtones for a minute now. sony vegas and adobe audition can do the same thing. any basic audio editor will do.

i usually make my ringtones about 30 seconds though. phones dont ring longer than that LOL

Good shit. I'll look into programs you listed. Yo, you remember this song by Total called "When Boy Meets Girl"? It was off of their first album, and it was one of the Neptunes first tracks...I be rocking that as my current ringtone. People be like what song is that!?!!?! :lol:

I use that MP3 to ringtone gold program you hit me off with.

Pick the track....choose the part and length...email it to my phone...and I'm done.
