SUVs and Large Trucks: What Happened?

Honda has tried to separate the people who want performance, and the people who just want the car. The V6 only comes in real auto, and manual. The 4 bangers only come with CVTs and manual. Basically, if you want any performance, be prepared to go to 32k sticker.

As far as the deactivation, I'm sure it's done better in higher end cars, I just can't believe it doesn't put any unnecessary wear and tear on something. Kicking on and off all the time. The manual doesn't have it, so I don't have to worry. But all that extra shit is to sell vehicles. I mean who the fuck buys the big engine and tries to save gas???

Americans are dumb like that their logic is buy a hellcat and trying to save on gas lmaoo

I didn't know the Accord V6 come in Manuel that's pretty slick considering...

It's CAFE standards. ... and the Gas Guzzler tax..

Def not the same as like 10-15 years ago where I am. Shhhhh I gave my Escalade cause of gas. I was spending $600 a month in gas. The fear of that happening again keeps me from going back in. Im looking at them small SUVs now myself....

Im in a CC now, I could put spare change in that joint and be riding all week!

Maybe I will trade in my wife's accord 14 sport for the coupe v6 Manuel.. She likes accords.

Here in Raleigh I see a lot more trucks than SUVs. When I do see new SUVs, they're typically the small to midsize models. I don't see as many Durangos or Armadas or Tahoes but I sure as hell see a lot of new Toyota Tundras & Ford F-150s.

How much is gas in his area and what year is his Yukon?

Cause my neighbor has a 16 Tahoe with a 26 gal tank and he fills up with regular unleaded from empty to full and it's only $65...

87 grade is $2.43 here in NYC depending on where your at

I believe it's an 08. I'm also in NYC. But this was about 2 year ago when the gas prices where a bit higher

My homeboy has a Yukon. We went to the gas station and he paid over $100 to fill his tank. He said that should last him about a week depending on how much he had to drive. That's $400 a month. Which is more then the note or insurance.
did he tell you this in 2006? Lol

Gas isn't quite 2 bucks here, it doesn't cost much past $40 to fill my Tahoe up. I'm eyeballing a new joint myself.

You gonna throw the Borla exhaust on yours?

Yup, Borla, Ingen intake and Ktune, which is a good deal cheaper than flashpro. Right now, the wheel gap is killing me, so Im gonna do the HFP suspension, and HFP lip first. Then maybe tax time Ill do performance.

It depends on where you live. If you're out in the Poconos or the outskirts of Pittsburgh, you're still going to see a lot of suvs, but I guess city folk are catching on to the gas guzzling now. If you're a single dude, what the hell do you need a giant Tahoe for? Other than wanting it, does it really serve a purpose other than saying "I have a Tahoe"?

You're lucky. Where is the gas not quite $2? Also what gas are you using. In Brooklyn I currently pay about $60 to fill my tank and I have an ML350. But I only use premium gas. That gets me almost 2 week because even though I drive I still use Uber because parking in my area is a bitch.

How low does the hfp suspension drop the car?

5/8ths of an inch based on the site. That's enough for me. I'm not one of the lowheads. Most importantly it stiffens the ride up. It corners ok, after a month I'm kinda used to it. But I'd like it to corner a little flatter, and not nose dive 3 goddamn feet under heavy breaking. It's definitely a car better suited to the highway in stock form.

I can't do man. I don't see how thats actually fun. Always worried about dips, and speed humps, can't really open it up on the highway out of fear of a dip you didn't see coming. I don't hear it as much on the Accord forums, but the Civic forums there was always someone cracking their oil pan, fucking up they exhaust, eating through tires with all that negative camber. Shits beyond stupid.

Im gonna take a guess here, and I mean zero disrespect

But are you a short dude who does not participate in many stereotypically "manly" activities? I.e., buying shit from Lowe's or home depot, moving or towing big shit, etc?

Not trying to be funny, but there's been HELLA times where I'd have had to rent or call a nigga with a truck if I didn't have my Tahoe or my lil old pickup.

I'm damn near 6'4 too, I gotta do a big sedan if it's a car.

They really give the Honda brand a bad name. Goddamn ricers. I try to respect other people vision and work, but the people doing it the right way aren't that fucking low, and those who are usually take short cuts. Dudes are still cutting springs in 2016!!! Like come on man, get a used set of coil overs and dial the height down if you're low on cash. Then again, they're normally rocking an old ads EG hatch on its 7th owner and they don't care if they fuck it up.

Lmaoo @ the spring cutting.. I never got that concept

To them, they're under the impression the shocks will just compensate and all will be right. They don't understand that after about 2 weeks of driving the shocks will wear out from the workload they wernt designed for. But hey, they "got more low" so it's cool. They become a danger on the road to themselves and other people. They just see something cool, but don't know enough about cars to grasp the concept that everything works in concert, you change 1 thing, you need to adjust something else or you risk fucking shit up. I really blame those first few FnF movies bringing in too many of the wrong kind of people.

I'm not buying drywall every week, and most of the stuff I actually buy from hardware spots are for building backyard projects like outdoor furniture and flower planters. I have friends that are in construction, so if I really do need some big stuff picked up, I can hit them up and I'll slide them a few buck and some beer. I regret not buying that Jeep when my television went to shit and I needed to get one home from Target, but someone came through and I promised to buy them some drinks and food at the bar...of course this mother fucker wanted to drink scotch all night.

Lowes sells a shit load of flowers too sammy, so I don't know how manly it is.

You're 6'4, you need a big ass car. I'd laugh if I saw you hopping out of a Fiat, so you HAVE to grab a car that won't fuck up your knees like a retired MLB catcher.

And next time you quote my post, you betta put some repeck on it plehboi.

We're good fam.

Lmao all respeck due, my man. I'd buy hella flowers lol

I've owned two Hondas and felt like I was getting up off the ground every time I got out of them shits. They were peppy as fuck though, fun to drive.

I hate when my girl parks behind me in my driveway and I have to drive her beetle to the store. I feel like a fool lol.

The Beetles are comfortable inside...probably not for a 6'4 dude though.
