Superteams usually underperform - will Durant's Warriors be different?

:lol:Yo, this shit is amazing fam; this nigga was actually serious as hell; and not only is he saying shit, he giving thesis, analysis, essays etc etc on why hes saying this shit; man everyone needs to reread this shit:lol:

This nigga said you don't need Barry Sanders. You need Kyle Juszczyk... a big fullback that can block!!!!!

And this was against the highest percentage of contested/defended shots in the league due to that iso bullshit they played... Durant is a phenomenal player, and his greatness has been handicapped by Russells style of play. If they play and use him like they should and can, its gonna be a beautiful thing to watch. Unfortunately, i will be rooting against them every step of the way.
Which will at some point be revealed as one of the main reasons he left.. I just dont see that as an issue with this GS team. They simply dont play that style of ball man.

"Durant is the only active NBA player to average 28 points and seven rebounds while shooting at least 50 percent in three different seasons. The only players in NBA history to do it more times than Durant are Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Shaquille O’Neal and Karl Malone."
And thats while taking the highest percentage of contested shots in the league...:smh::lol::(

Man this muthafucka is soooooooooooooooo good..:smh:
@Day_Carver , Im the realest. .... and almost always spot on.

The warriors draft better. It wasn't like Klay, Curry and Draymond were highly sought after picks in the draft. They all got drafted low or late.

They developed into better players that ended up taking the west by surprise. GS stayed getting taken out in the first round of playoffs or knocked off by the Clippers.

So it's not like they were 1st round draft picks on other teams brought together like Dwade, Ray Allen and Chris Bosh, or a Kyrie, Love or Thompson to make an instant super team. They developed into great players that fit like pieces in a puzzle. Add Durant (2nd pick) to the mix and they warriors are a well rounded team. That's how you build a winning team.

Thank the Logo for that.

He had a helluva a run as a GM since the 80s and now as a "Special Adviser"

Rumor has it the Clippers are trying to get him as their adviser.

The number of great players I've seen come through the warriors franchise only to be traded to other teams was astounding. I use to wonder how the warriors were able to obtain such great talent but could never make a decent playoff run or go for a chip. I use to get frustrated like WTF?! Then I just gave up on the warriors ever doing shit again and became a laker fan. Warriors built that team slow but steady into a championship contender for 20 years.

This is Miami Heat 2.0

Everyone hates the move....and wish nothing but the worse for GS. They'll have growing pains....but eventually i think they'll win a title. I wonder if Durant will bounce after year two if he wins.

BTW.....I don't recall a lot of uproar when Shaq, Malone, Payton and Kobe were all of the same team. But I think that was because the league had other talented teams and plus Malone and Payton were past their prime. They eventually had Payton coming off the bench...lol

Btw.....someone in GS will have to fallback in order to let Durant be Durant. Green, Klay, Steph....whose it gonna be? or will Durant be reduced to a decoy? :dunno:

Nobody fell back everybody got their shots

no its not. because whoever is hot is who is going to shoot and who they want to shoot lol
no selfish dudes on this team. that's why klay can drop 37 in a quarter and curry is more than happy to just watch him score 37 lol

keep making stuff up

Every time Durant was on he got the ball
and in turn he learned to pass the ball because he knew he'd get the ball back

But that's what they did though family lol
Durant is efficient. he doesn't need 25 shots to be effect. he only averaged 19 last year as the 1/1a option.
He is a better defender and more versatile than barnes
and he is a better rebounder on both ends of the court than barnes.
And the warriors play better when green doesn't have to score. when he can pick and choose his spots and stuff the stats that's when we're clicking on all cylinders and actually he prefers it that way. he scores when we need someone to pick up the team as he's not going to let us just lose. every game he dropped 25+ is a game that was close or we lost because everyone else wasn't stepping up and he wasn't going to let us lose
but if everyone else is scoring he's more than happy with just 6 points. that's what makes him so special.

shit.

Nobody fell back everybody got their shots

But it was the Durant show more than not.

They rode him to a title. In this years finals, he gave the Cavs the most trouble out of all GS players. Of course having to focus on other players "freed" Durant somewhat, but still. It was the Durant show more times than not.

The Cavs gotta figure out how to offset the Durant stuff.

It'll be Cavs vs Warriors again next year; ridiculous that I can predict this right now. Shout out to A. Silver for saying other teams gotta "catch up" to the Cavs and GS. He's obviously blind to whats in his league.

GS in 6 next year. Or maybe Cavs in 6-7; if they can figure some things out.

Avg 27pts - 8rbs - 9.5ast for the entire finals...

Durant 'carried' the team?!?!? Huh? Cool..

Some stuff cant be seen in the box score.
Sometimes you gotta watch the actual game to see whats going on.
Want me to give u links for each game?
and some stuff can AND I watched every minute of every game so nah, don't need our links. Was KD the MVP, absolutely! Did he 'carry' the team?!?! Absolutely not! He showed up in crunch time, and thoroughly outplayed LeBron when it mattered, but to say he carried them is putting extra mustard and a little Duck Tale-ish. TO get THOSE types of numbers from the PG spot, and there are others that stick out as well, are ridiculous and no team has ever been carried with their second best player during a series putting up that kind of stat line which was not inflated by one good game but he was consistently good the entire series...

I dare anyone to find a series in recent memory where the second player on the team for the series had THAT type of series... All I'm saying...

So, lets talk about your reasons KD 'carried' the Warriors to the chip. This should be a bit interesting

No, we want you to understand that its because of Curry, KD is able to operate like he can; not the other way around; Curry makes everything go; KD might be the closer but if not for Curry, KD wouldnt have the space to operate; KD is more efficient then ever before in his career, why? Steph dominated period, rewatch the games....

there are no reasons....

That's not true lol
The team goes as Curry goes. When Curry played well they won period.
The cavs trapped Curry the entire series not Durant.
The cavs made it their mission for the 3rd year in a row to try and stop curry
The cavs were fine with Durant getting wide open dunks and operating 1 on 1 in the post against dudes 7 inches shorter than him as long as Curry didn't get going

and even with all of that attention curry still almost averaged a triple double.

Curry was a +267 this playoffs that's higher than anyone in NBA history
Durant wasn't even close to that. Nowhere in the ballpark

The team does not work unless Curry is there Curry didn't ride anyone to a finals victory he just has so much impact you would rather Kevin Durant go 1 on 1 with Richard Jefferson on him than to let Curry get going.

But yeah....
Durant carried them.
He did not carry anyone he did his part extremely well.
A healthy Curry is still someone that nobody can guard period.
And still something even the Cavs decided was something they needed to try and combat or take away
you cannot explain a team willing to let Kevin Durant do whatever he wants in order to stop another guy that's never happened to Kevin Durant before. Ever.
it did this series.
and all playoffs.

Listen, I been saying this for years, Durant will never beat you with the catch and shoot... Until he learns how to post up and really use his size he will always be the guy to shoot you in for victory or shoot you out of one..
He does exactly what Curry and Thompson does at a much more erratic level..

Wow.
