B Magic is one of my favorites, because he doesn't just have the punchlines... he flows, but yeah he is one of those cats that may not get crazy crowd reaction every time, but those bars on that footage ain't no fucking joke. The only times I can really say he lost is when he chokes, which is really funny because he never chokes in NY, but he chokes at home in STL.

Goodz is right though, niggas want to hear the bars so if you keep going... they will shut up and listen.
 
The NY crowd is the only crowd that does that shit though. As much shit as the Midwest cat talk they always show them NY cats love when they come to town. The fans don't disrespect while they are performing either.

1st battle: Hitman Holla Vs JohnJohnDaDon

Special appearances by: Diddy, Busta Rhymes, Lloyd Banks and Cassidy

A very debatable battle. I feel JohnJohn 2-1 hitman. wasn't very good 3rd round. NY was booing him and hitman a little.

Winner: JohnJohn IMO


2nd battle: DNA VS eness

Nothing to debate here, DNA clearly caught a body. Ness wasn't really saying anything and was getting booed...The crowd even yelled "CHEESECAKE" loud. had everyone laughing. It's sad he lost in front of Diddy.

Winner: DNA 3-0

3rd battle: Aye Verb vs T Rex

Bonus: Winner get 10k extra from Diddy
If you saw summer madness last year, you already know NY hate Verb. Verb actually did good his rounds, I think he choked at least once. but bounced back after it. Rex was really good also. but finished verb off by bringing a cutoff board of a female with verb's face on it to get the win. Diddy gave Rex the 10k.

Winner: T Rex. 2-1, NY was being bias to Verb overall.


4th battle:Serious Jones vs Charlie Clips

A very debatable battle, some say Clips won 2-1, some says Jones won, but I have to watch it over to really decide. NY was booing them both at least once.

Winner: IDK, gotta see it again.


5th battle: Calicoe vs Loaded Lux

Lux came out in a tux and brought out a casket. it reads "R.I.P Cali-hoe" :dead: Had everyone going crazy. Cal went 1st and snapped on his round, lux choked after 8 bars and completely stopped. got booed badly, 2nd round Cal was snapping but stumbled on a word and instantly got booed. Lux wasn't saying much but somehow had everyone going crazy. 3rd round Cal was doing ok, but NY still booed him. Lux snapped his 3rd round and said that he gave cal 1st round on purpose, even posted the pic of Cal naked in the pool on some Jay-z Summer Jam sh-t.

Winner: Calicoe 2-1. Lux killed him 3rd round. A few felt that battle wasn't fair cuz he kept rapping over his time 3rd round. NY was bias

Main Event: Murda Mook vs Iron Solomon

Nothing to debate here, 5 rounds, 3 minutes a round. Mook killed Solomon 5-0. It was like solomon wasn't even trying :smh: a nice amount of people was leaving during that battle lol.

Winner: Murda Mook 5-0

Page 31 was on hand for Smack/URL.TV's Summer Madness 2 at Webster's Hall where the legends came out to face off with today's brightest battle rappers. Serius Jones, Loaded Lux, Murda Mook, E Ness, Aye Verb, Iron Solomon, DNA, Calicoe, Charlie Clips, Tex Rex, and more came to the stage in front of a sold out crowd and rocked the stage. Celebrity guests Q-Tip, P Diddy, Lloyd Banks and Busta Rhymes all chimed in from the VIP balcony, and Diddy raised the stakes with a 10 thousand dollar prize on the Aye Verb vs Tex Rex undercard.

Before the event all of the undercard battlers as well as other URL artists weighed in on who they thought would rain victorious between Iron Solomon and Murda Mook. Murda Mook and Iron Solomon both also discussed what a win or a loss would mean to their legacies. Mook proved to be victorius after rapping to Iron Solomon as if he was George Zimmerman, wearing a hood and holding a bag of Skittles and an Iced Tea.



They got some footage in there too from the Lux vs. Calicoe and Mook vs. Solomon battles.

Been arguing with people about who would win for 3 years. Glad it can finally be put to rest.

It was smart money to bet on Iron based on their previous battles. Mook took a lot of losses on those Smack DVD's. Iron only has one debatable battle and he damn near bodied everyone else. Even though it sounds like that was a wack battle, I gotta see if dude was really as wack as they say.

Mook took a lot of losses but still put on great performances that overshadowed his losses...another thing people forget is that he already dealt with a type of crowd like the one at Summer Madness when he faced Young Hot...Iron Solomon never dealt with a Summer Madness type of crowd so I knew Mook would be way more comfortable on stage

Yeah, URL crowds don't let bullshit slide, but they are some times too rough... in 9 minutes every bar isn't going to be fire. Some times you gotta let a nigga breathe to step up something hot, but those motherfuckers only give that to people they like.

I still like it better than Grindtime/KOTD crowds that cheer on everything, but its almost better to have the old smack, shoe store crowds that are just quiet if a nigga doesn't say anything hot.
