Sudden food craving or taste that you have/had recently....GO!

I found these fuckers around this time last year. I was looking for them for over ten years and went to Dave's one day and found them. I couldn't believe it. For whatever reason,grocery stores stopped selling them around 2004 or 5. People must have demanded them because I see them in Walmart and grocery stores now.

In the winter this is my go-to in starting a fire.
 
I haven’t had any cravings lately but after seeing some of these I got a craving for BBQ Fritos as a snack and Salisbury Steak over rice as entree and some cotton candy for dessert snack
 
There are 2 things that are painful about this craving:

1. The cookies have been discontinued
2. My neighbor, Mrs.G (R.I.P.) used to work for Nabisco. She was very kind and would often bring home some boxes of cookies.
It important that you understand when I say boxes I am referring to a large box with about 20 packs of cookies in the box!

My grandma was big on making lemon meringue pie and nanaimo bars.

Her best friend made apple strudel for 60+ years. She was a legend in these Vancity streets.

My mom bakes breads, cookies, powerbars, scones and muffins. Her works of art = biscotti. Excellent. She gives away alot at Xmas to friends and fam.

Her and my late aunt also used to make respective lemon poppyseed cakes. Aunt’s was light and airy. Mom’s was dense and heavy. Both really damn good. You had to pace yourself or you would quickly eat wayyy too much in one sitting, lol.

Bought a handful of tins of these last week when grocery shopping, and gave them out to family members who also enjoy them.


Bought them for years when they were around $3 ... and they gradually increased the price locally to around $5 - 6.


For some reason they had them on for $2 last week, so made sure to buy 'em. They're great when having a coffee.
