As someone who taught elementary and middle school in Detroit Michigan, where the weak are killed and eaten (not necessarily in that order) I beg to differ. Those "underage black kids" bring weapons to school all the time. You just don't hear about it. Those same kids will literally beat the shit out of you if they catch you in the hood, or stop you from being robbed--depending on whether or not they like you. They will fuck you up, lie about it, get slapped on the wrist because they are under 18, and you could literally end up a cripple if they catch you looking.
Black, white, Puerto Rican, American kids are fucked up in the head, to an alarming degree.
And no, they don't give a shit about you being black. They respect NOTHING. ZERO. ZILCH. NADA. Not themselves, not their parents in too many cases, and definitely not your black ass (respectfully).
Teaching in the USA is like being a Nam Vet. If you were not there, you really don't know.
Yeah, I don't think I would have sat there and watched him hit one of my teachers like that even when I was that age. But then again, all of my teachers would have been dead on his ass.
Sad but that's how some of those teachers look at students that are a certain way....they'll be in prison or on the system in a few years while I'll be just that closer to retirement.

Every school ain’t the same and every group of kids ain’t the same. I have friends that work for the board of Ed in various diff sectors and schools. Some schools have good kids some school got bad kids. Sometimes every now and again you run into an idiot. With all that said and done giving a white person the power to hit a black kid still would not be voted in by me. Past several decades how many white teachers have been proven to be racist and pedos? How many are but just haven’t gotten caught. So give them power to inflict violence is definitely a no no cause who knows if they doing it for the right reason. No matter what negative thing you have to say I don’t see hundreds of cases of columbines done by them, but you know what race of kids I do see doing that? Betty white

She must be a substitute or new to the teaching profession. Most school districts authorize teachers to confiscate items like mostly cell phones during class time. But this chick is beyond dumb. Not excusing what the little nigga did but A vape pen( in the hands of a minor and on school grounds) just call the deans and the SRO and let them handle that. All that back and forth talking give that little nigga an audience and courage to slap her. Been teaching for 14 years now most of these young niggas be sell wolf tickets. Ask any teacher of 5 years or more the real gangstas are the girls. They will fight leaking blood and everything. Just common sense most of these white teachers don’t have. Who’s the adult in the room. I bet that little nigga wouldn’t have even tried one of classmates like that, a black female or male teacher like that. Part of being a good teacher is knowing how far to 'push' a student. Ego's are fragile. I do my best not to berate in front of other students.

I'm assuming ofc...That slap looked like he saw his mama handled that way. He can't do the man like that and the teacher was just the recipient of the projection

I get that completely and as a teacher it’s not something I would typically do. TBH, I prefer not to for liability reasons but I would be within my right to. I have only confiscated two phones all year and their choices are always:
“Take the ‘L’ now and I’ll either return it during lunch or at the end of the school day and this stays in-house (between us)”
Or…
“I call your parent in class and you’ll deal with the consequences of interrupting your parents on the their grind.”
The teacher allegedly took a vape pen away from the student, which is a drug/narcotic and we are mandated to report - and if we can - confiscate this for safety purposes.
Ask yourself this question: how did she get the vape pen?
She asked and he turned it over. Classmates probably laughed, he got embarrassed and decided to dispense some street justice. Now, he will have charges pressed and expelled. Statistically ruining his life.
More often than not, we are here to try give these kids some game and teach them a few things. Don’t violate major issues and it’ll be a regular school day.
