Stephen A. Smith: The Jig Is Up For Tiger Woods

a few wins here, a few losses there... whatever.

he's still a billionaire, and as soon as he gets his groove back, he'll make-up the $$$ from the divorce settlement thru endorsements, etc.

more like the jig has been up for stephen smith.

i'm surprised at 2 things:

1) how long it has taken some to see that stephen smith is by and large a blow hard wind bag rumor monger faking his way through a career as a pseudo-journalist. breaking "exclusives" from confidential sources does not a reporter make.

2) if stephen smith had any professional integrity or balls as a man, he would've issued the editorial BEFORE tiger's recent showing. by waiting until AFTER the performance, he only demonstrated that sports "journalists" like himself know ZERO about the sports they comment on.

I normally don't even have a problem with son... maybe I've just had a rough day :dunno: but damn, I wish son would shut his fucked up hairline attention whoring opportunistic ass up.

Golf is far more mental than physical.

Tiger's mind is neither in balance nor focused on golf.

Tiger has been crippled by his shame.

He worked on constructing a personal and public image for his entire life. Tiger presented himself as a safe, bland, family-oriented, being beyond stereotypes and racial profiling type of man. Yet he has been exposed as a sleazy, sex-crazed, white woman lusting, cheater. He sees himself as a fraud. He knows that many other folks view him as a fraud. Dude has lost his foundation.

At first, Tiger Woods hid away. Now Eldrick tiger Woods is lost and gone.

Woods will only regain his golf game if he finds a different identity.

He has to man up to get beyond his situation. What man is going to stand up. The CAC? The Black? The Asian? The Indian? Who or what is his support system.

Tiger is not a player. Tiger ain't no hustla. He can't dust off his collar and move on.

Tiger was a winner because he couldn't stomach losing. That's how his daddy raised him. This scandal was a definite lost that was beyond his control. Tiger is lost and will be lost until he releases his shame and finds a new identity.

I will give a realistic view here. Kobe, Tiger, Tyson. Tiger situation is more like Tyson rather than Kobe's. You guys making comparisons to Tiger and Kobe isn't realistic. Kobe had to deal with a court case, deal with Shaq and the relationship he severed with him and deal with smoothing shit over with his wife. Now he dealt with all that then went on the court and played at a superior level. Remind you Kobe had to be in court one day and play the next. Tiger is dealing with a divorce and playing like shit. The dude can't swing his club anymore. So saying and comparing him to Kobe is insane. Now if you said this dude is looking like Mike Tyson, I would agree with you. At the end of the day Kobe dealt with adversity and succeeded. Tiger and Tyson dealt with adversity and the feel from grace Tiger and Tyson had an aura of invincibility. Once that aura was broken for Tyson, he wasn't the same. Tiger had that same aura, now he isn't feared anymore.

tiger is going to be alright and start back winning again..he's too good to be over...tiger will bounce back...:yes:

:smh:I said Tiger should have taken a full year off from competitive golf

Just like when Jordan's father died, and all those gambling rumors started flying. It's hard to be ON TOP OF YOUR GAME and the BEST ON THE PLANET when you are not 100% focused on the game at hand.

Add to that, Tiger before all the foolishness leaked... was coming off a serious surgery...and had hired new coaches and stuff.

Tiger got physical, and mental things to deal with :smh:

This really pains me to say it. But I think that Tiger is a "regular" golfer now... in the sense that his aura of invicibility is gone. That was the mental advantage that Tiger had over the compeition. Everyone knew they were playing for 2nd place.

Tiger will continue to play golf. He will probably win a few more majors. But he will not be the dominate force that he was prior to the driveway incident.

Eric Benet said he was never a sex addict. He just went to sex rehab appease Halle's mom in an attempt to save his marriage. He said that sex rehab was bullshit for him.

And Tiger Woods was never a sex addict. He just went to sex rehad to appease his sponsers, CACs, and wife in an attempt to save his marriage.

Tiger got 20 more years to play golf at the highest levels and Stupid A is saying he's done already

I never worry about dudes I know work hard as hell. Some dude who got hot a couple times played on talent faces adversity they crumble.

dudes like Kobe and Tiger who outwork everyone will just go back to work its who they are trained to be.

once he gets in a routine of seeing the kids getting his practice on settle his emotions down get that anxiety out his body he's coming back with a vengence.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

everybody is mad and taking jabs at Smith here

but just since this article was posted, Tiger has been playing worse and worse...yeah, keep thinking that shitting on Smith is gonna make tiger turn his career around...

what you seem to be missing is that stephen smith is doing nothing more than using his "pen" to pile on. where is his integrity?

as i stated before, had stephen smith made any of these comments BEFORE tiger woods' recent performances, i would grant stephen smith his due.

but making these remarks after-the-fact is some bullshit pandering.
