Spiderman Far from Home (2019) official SPOILERS discussion thread Proceed at your own Risk!

This guys theory is that Fury has been dead since Winter Soldier and was brought back to life using the same Tahiti experiment they used on Coulson.

I'm so late..I saw the movie the week when it came out...I like it..I thought Homecoming was better but this one was pretty good as well...

Phase 4 of the MCU is going to be interesting!!!

Mysterio was well done no doubt. Something about the movie was off to me.
the wack as s love story... They force this love crap in modern day movies... In the 80s this was a love story -die hard-... Oh snap my wife is in trouble let me kill a bunch of bad guys... You see the wife for 30 secs prob like 2 more times until the climatic scene when he has to save her... Than later on they are happy to see each other the end... Wife gets less than 10 mins screen time and is not the biggest part of the film... Modern day movies they shoved this love story s hit and give it long drawn out segments

this is true. this is due on the part of the female moviegoer. a love story, love triangle that takes up a chunk of the story. in commando, arnold spent like 5 minutes with his daughter before shit went left. and now that flicks are pg-13 instead of rated r they movie studios want more money.

Lol at commando ... Reason I didn't mention movies like that cause that's a real reason to want to kill a bunch of motherfuckers when they mess with your blood... But commando is a perfect example of give the broad a snippet of time and than leave the rest of the story on killing sprees and action... Who the hell in Hollywood thinks these corny as s love stories attract female consumers?...this why winter soldier is tops and thanos snap... The love story in thanos snap got a nig killed twice lol I thoroughly enjoyed vision dying twice..fuck your love story..than thanos snapped the bitch away to lmaoooo... Oh man that was great

This is the history of storytelling for a few eons, it's all a love story - The Illiad and the Oddysey is a love story, the Bible is full of stories where guys fight wars over women, Greek Myths, India, China, Japan, all of these stories are about heroes and their journeys and love found or lost. It's the stories that humans relate to more than any other.

Funny you mention the bible cause the two biggest stories I like to talk about when joking about females is eve and the chick that turned into stone... The bible depending on the view point you looking at it literally explains women will go against logic and God if it doesn't connect with their opinion... The book actually shows that sometimes you should not listen to what women say cause it will get you fucked up... Funny how dudes don't peep game in those stories

its not women; people go against logic everyday and all the time.....

one of the illest avengers get stabbed because he was caught slipping trying to convince his broad to stay thus becoming ineffective throughout the film. that dude really died twice lol.

Tom Holland Thanks Fans After Spider-Man: Far From Home Hits $1 Billion

In what’s now become a first for the franchise, Spider-Man: Far From Home has swung past $1 billion at the global box office, and is the third MCU film to do so this year after Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame, the latter of which actually became the highest-grossing movie of all-time, too.

Far From Home, meanwhile, now sits at $1.039 billion and counting, having earned $693 million overseas alone since it hit theaters back in early July. In North America, it currently has $346 million, and both of those figures are only expected to go up as the film continues to perform exceptionally well.

But even if it were to end its run now, it’d still be considered an incredible achievement, especially when you consider that Spider-Man: Homecoming reached $880 million two years ago. How high it’ll ultimately go remains to be seen, but Tom Holland is certainly feeling thankful, with the actor posting the following video on social media this week to thank his fans:

So, where does Spidey go from here? Well, we’ve heard rumors that Marvel has now regained control of the hero given that the latest MCU flick crossed the $1 billion threshold. And while that’s yet to be confirmed, we wouldn’t doubt it. After all, it’s pretty clear that Kevin Feige and co. have a much better handle on the property than Sony does, though what this could mean for the latter’s cinematic universe – which includes Venom and the upcoming Morbius, among others – remains to be seen.

In any case, if one thing is abundantly clear it’s that Spider-Man has a very bright future ahead of him in the MCU and with reports saying Marvel has plans for nine Spidey movies in total, we should be seeing a lot more of the webhead in the years to come.

Not bad for a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man: Sony Pictures announced Monday that Spider-Man: Far From Home has officially surpassed 2012’s Skyfall to become the studio’s highest-grossing film of all time.

Since its debut earlier this summer, the Tom Holland-starring film has raked in $376.7 million domestically and $732.9 million internationally, bringing its global box office haul to $1.109 billion. To celebrate, Spidey is swinging back into theaters starting Aug. 29 with a new extended cut of Far From Home, including four minutes of a new action scene.

Holland once again stars as the wise-cracking webcrawler, and Far From Homefinds him venturing out of Queens to go on a school trip to Europe, where he crosses paths with Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and the enigmatic Mysterio(Jake Gyllenhaal). Thanks to Far From Home’s box office success, a sequel seems likely, even if nothing has officially been announced. Regardless, Holland has said he’s eager to put the Spidey suit back on for another movie.

“I’ll do 26 of these movies if they ask me,” Holland previously told EW. “I get to travel the world, I get to play a character that I’ve grown up loving my whole life. I get to work with people in the industry who I consider to be the best. And you know, it’s a film that’s fun — it’s light-hearted, it’s full of action, which I love doing, it’s funny, it’s dramatic, it sort of ticks every box for me. So if they want me to be doing these until I’m Hugh Jackman’s age, then I will be.”

Spider-Man: Far From Home Extended Cut to Swing Into Theaters

You know the song: Spider-Man, Spider-Man, four extra minutes of Spider-Man. According to Deadline, Sony will be releasing Spider-Man: Far From Home, now with a scene of MJ where she narrates how to sext for Peter and pals. Oh wait, got that mixed up with our Euphorianotes. Zendaya really does have the range, doesn’t she? Anyway, Sony is dropping an extended cut of Far From Home, with an extra four-minute action scene, in theaters across the U.S. and Canada. It will also be available in IMAX at some locations. Far From Home, a Sony/Marvel collab, originally opened on July 2 and has already hit over $1 billion at the worldwide box office, making it the only non-Disney (well, Disney-adjacent) title to make so much. August 29, go for the action scene, stay for the chemistry between Tom Holland and Jake Gyllenhaal.

The success of Into the Dark was the worst thing to happen to Sony. They are feeling themselves to much.
People want to see all these characters in the same universe. They'll be back to making shitty movies again after the next Spidey movie.

Tom Holland is done. If they pull Spidey out of the MCU, they have to re-cast him. Sony = Fail

I hope he does to force Sony hand...

I'm hoping this a just a negotiating tactic or Sony trying to hype up the Re-release of Far From Home...

Sony Reportedly Ends Spider-Man Partnership With Marvel Studios

AUG 20, 2019

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has reportedly lost a major franchise.

According to Deadline, Sony has killed its Spider-Man deal with Marvel Studios, effectively ending president Kevin Feige's involvement with two planned webslinger films.

"Sources said there are two more Spider-Man films in the works that are meant to have director Jon Watts and Tom Holland front and center," Deadline wrote. "Unless something dramatic happens, Feige won’t be the lead creative producer of those pictures."

The partnership reportedly ended following a dispute between Sony and Marvel Studio's parent company, Disney. Insiders claim the studios failed to reach an agreement on Disney's stake in the upcoming Spider-Man films. Disney reportedly wanted a 50/50 co-financing deal that could've expanded to other projects within the Spider-Man universe. Sony is said to have rejected that deal without offering a counter, and was set on continuing their licensing agreement in which "Marvel receives in the range of 5% of first dollar gross."

Before Marvel Comics had established its own movie studio, it had sold the licensing rights to some of its most popular characters. For example: Fox got X-Men and the Fantastic Four, while Sony got Peter Parker. But rather than give Marvel back the rights, the studios inked a deal that allowed Disney to feature the Spider-Man character within MCU motion pictures, while Sony would finance all standalone Spider-Man films ... and reap the box office profits. (It's important to note that Marvel still retains merchandising rights over Spider-Man, meaning it still makes bank off Spider-Man-branded products, like apparel and toys.)

Unsurprisingly, many Spider-Man fans weren't pleased to hear about Sony and Disney's split, as some credited the latter for the reboot's record-breaking success. The last installment, Spider-Man: Far From Home, has earned over $1 billion at the worldwide box office; it's predecessor, Spider-Man: Homecoming, has grossed nearly $900 million worldwide. Both films were co-produced by Feige.

But insiders claim Sony isn't too worried about the loss: "Sources said that Sony reasoned that they will be fine, without Feige," Deadline reported. "The creative template has been set on the Spider-Man films, and Watt and Holland are in place along with Amy Pascal, who became producer with Feige after she exited the executive suite after presiding over the previous Spider-man iterations directed by Sam Raimi and Marc Webb as Sony Pictures chief."
