Sound Bars

I'm usually one of the Dudes on here that goes on about Headphones in those related threads.

But as I just got a 40" LCD and a Blu-Ray player recently, I want to improve my sound quality on it for movie-viewing. I used to have a BAD-ASS Home Theater set-up when I was making "real money" some years ago. But these days, I'm not making that type of cash any more. And me being more frugal and neat/space-conscious, a 7-speaker set-up just isn't practical.

Shit.
The only thing I kept from my old home theater setup was my Pioneer LaserDisc/DVD Player. I just couldn't part with it (and a LD collection of about 100).

So what's the word from some of you regarding Sound Bars?
These are the ones I'm currently eyeing...

bought the yamaha and returned....2 speakers with a bass module sound way better than that. I wound up buying an expensive ass Denon garbage micro DVD system when the cheap Panasonic is the one that gets played most of the time. Know what, I'm gonna stop fucking with expensive for no reason shit. I got a Nakamichi system that is also gathering dust. BS Panasonic and JVC have better bass and refuse to die. Panasonic and JVC systems are like broads with low self esteem. Whatever you do you cant get rid of em.

That Bose sound bar is the truth. I visit it at the Bose store until I can convince myself to drop $1500 on it. But seriously if you can go hear it, do it. I thought sound bars were BS until I heard that one, but its up to you.
