I realized belts stopped working on my son when he was in the 5th grade. He is in the 7th now and almost as tall as me and I'm 5'10. One time I accidently hit him so hard his head bounced off the wall and my mother was there and she is in her 70's and she got scared as hell. I thought I had burst an eardrum or something . Look I'm not gonna go back and forth with you. I don't spank my son all the time, I do use other disciplining methods, but on a few occasions I have had to get in his ass to cut certain behaviours immediately. Now you've taken a few posts meant for fun and now you THINK you know exactly how I raise my child everyday. My son is a very smart independent thinker and leader. I made him like that because I instilled that confidence in him. He is top 10% in his class and in the running to get a full scholarship to the private high school of his choice. That's all I have to say. Enjoy the rest of the thread.

Oh and another thing. I'm the ONLY person in this world that rides for my son. His father lied and I found out he had a whole family on the other side of town when I was pregnant. I am not a man hater but I made that mistake ONCE and never made it again. I went to the the child support once just to prove paternity so he couldn't say shit about it not being his son and never been back in 12 years then I put the ball in his court but HE chose not to be here for his son. I put that energy into my son instead. I've worked on my feet everyday 9 and a half hours for the past 10 years in people's mouths for my SON, not for me. Never been on assistance or asked anyone for a dime. So until you walk in my shoes don't say SHIT to me about lazy parenting. When my son needs comforting, New clothes, when he hungry, his college fund, his car I already bought, his confidence boosted he comes to me.

This is so real. This one time I had been telling my son, he's 12, to do chores for like an HOUR. He was playing his Xbox and ya'll know how serious them games be to ya'll. So he was on his Xbox talking plenty of shit to somebody loud as hell and I finally got fed up because I had been asking him for an hour to do his chores so I go stand over him and sternly say get off the game. I know he was into that game and had a temporary lapse of reality but he yelled "Jesus Christ I heard you the first 10 times!!". I snatched that headset off his head so fast (I bought the headset so I wasn't going to break it lol) and I went to land a blow and he threw up the block I swear I blacked out and all I could hear was that old mortal combat voice in my ear saying "FINISH HIM!" I grabbed him by the throat, which I felt bad about afterwards but it was a "FATALITY!" at that point lol. And YES I told all my family he tried to fight me. He swears he was just defending himself lol. But on the real he is very good kid and I almost never have had to whoop him but that day I couldn't let that slide lol

Thats funny. When I was in high school, my mother attacked me and I blocked her and then held her to keep her from hitting me. She swore that I hit her, but my father knew that shit wasn't true so he calmed her down. And didn't fuck me up.
