Traffickers.
Maradona said for them not to come home if they don't win itShould Messi be worried about members of his family going missing?![]()
Ok Candle u gonna need to give me a real good detailed reason why Messi shouldn't get the Lebron scrutiny at this point in his career?
For me, I don't rate international football on the level of club football. It's two different monsters. I catch hell from elders that rate the World Cup or international tournaments higher because in their day, that was the standard, but times have changed. I'll take the champions league over the World Cup anyday of the week. The best managers in the world agree with that sentiment.
Today club football is where ALL the quality is. You have the absolute best of the best in every position on the pitch. Multi millionaires occupying every spot.
Many football experts couldn't name the Chilean back line tonight but can tell you the starting XI for Real Madrid and their bench and academy players. It is what it is.
It's their where my argument lies for why the best of the best shine for their clubs, but disappear for their national teams. Ibrahimovic, Messi, Ronaldo all the aces that we watch week in and week out that dominate more times than not dissappear for country. No one is immune to it. Football is simply more than a one man game, unlike how it was in years past.
It's also very difficult for these national team managers to put together such a stringent campaign when they only have X amount of time and all these varying styles of play coming in from all over the world. This is why many teams suffer in today's international tournaments. Look at the Euros and the wealth of teams that are about to exit in the quarterfinals.
I'm not making excuses here, but I called it DURING this thread that for three years in a row now, we've watched Messi deliver sumptuous assists to Higuain, who's flubbed them in front of goal in major finals. If he buries those, Messi lifts 3 international trophies and we're not having this conversation at all. Is that Messi's fault and does that affect his legacy? I'm hard pressed to believe so.
Please believe that Messi will receive scrutiny that trumps Lebrons cause let's face it, that's the relationship of fan and player in any sport, and to the victor goes the spoils, but I personally would rather judge him when he's playing against the best of the best.
I TOLD ya boy Messi NOT to be reading bgol threads after matches...

Club football is all about financial power.
Hence we have shitty leagues like La Liga that is a duopoly, shitty league like league Ligue 1 in France, Serie A in Italy and etc. We see more competitiveness in England but the trophy is awarded to like 5 teams on a consistent base. To be exact only 6 teams has won the trophy since the EPL started in 1992.
World cup, you have to play with what you have which make it more difficult for players like Ronaldo and Messi to sit in that goal scoring comfort. That's why I said Messi can never be the greatest because when put to the test in situation where the talent is spread out he looks average. Remember we are talk about a player that has yet to score in the knockout stage in the world cup (after 3 WC appearances). He still cannot handle double marking. We see chile did the same thing Germany did and Messi could not produce.
He deserve the Lebron treatment especially when people say he is better than Maradona and Pele.
He was emotional and in the heat of the moment. He'll be playing in Russia come 2018.
You DO realize that Messi would have completely ruined my shot at an Argentinian 3 some?
I guess for the greater good then huh.. Drop that homegrown later though lol
No... He is a hero in Argentina. He just happens to come shortShould Messi be worried about members of his family going missing?![]()
