I don't believe it but he did truly have his arm pit sweat glands removed. Not sure if that added to his demise.
that makes no sense.Wikipedia says it's because he had the sweat glands in his armpits removed. Supposedly he didn't like the look of sweat under his arms on camera. This caused him to overheat when he trained during a hot day.
Heatstroke doesn't make sense? Biology says otherwise.that makes no sense.
removing glands from your armpits makes no sense. especially someone like bruce lee...dude was hip and vain but he was also extremely aware of his fitness and just on surface that makes no sense.Heatstroke doesn't make sense? Biology says otherwise.
So, are you arguing that he didn't remove the sweat glands? Personally, I don't know but it seems to be widely accepted that he did get them surgically removed.removing glands from your armpits makes no sense. especially someone like bruce lee...dude was hip and vain but he was also extremely aware of his fitness and just on surface that makes no sense.
So that's why his face looked like he was bobbing for apples on a hot BBQ grill in those shots of him at that indoor rally? Um, there's a difference between Big Foot and a surgical procedure. Honestly, the surgery story seems more plausible than a lot of the nonsense conspiracies I've heard about Bruce Lee's death over the years.at one point the existence of bigfoot was widely accepted...

If anyone knows of any documentation that shows he had some kind of surgical procedure to remove anything please post it...
that mans life has been exhaustively documented for the last 50 years since his death. If he had some procedure like that done its very likely it would have been noted in his autopsy reports and other reports or bios on him...hell his wife would have confirmed that at some point. So people are gonna have do better than "I heard...." and wiki isn't necessarily the best source for info.Um, there's a difference between Big Foot and a surgical procedure. His biographer, Matthew Polly, says he got the procedure done in late 1972. If this were untrue, Lee's surviving family would've said so. I mean, they condemned Tarantino for his portrayal of Lee.that mans life has been exhaustively documented for the last 50 years since his death. But who knows? It seems to be very well-documented though.
Apparently he suffered from heat stroke and fainted a few weeks or months prior to his death but heat stroke wasn't well-understood at that time.from Quora:
Question: I heard Bruce Lee got his sweat glands removed under his armpits. Could it be possible that Bruce Lee died from overheating?
Without definitive evidence that any such surgery was indeed performed, then it’s useless speculation to ruminate over what may or may not have happened.
Here’s what IS known:
Those are the known facts of the case.
- Roughly six week prior to his death, Bruce Lee took a medication called Equagesic and had a negative reaction to it. He was briefly hospitalized.
- According to a recent television program (2017) Lee was taking large quantities of the steroid cortisone, prior to his death. There’s some dispute if he was receiving this from a medical professional, and whether or not he was adhering to the strict medical protocols required to properly use steroids. (See reference)
- Within a few days before his death, Lee again began to take Equagesic. This time he grew extremely ill, and lapsed into a coma. He died several days later from what was determined during his autopsy to have been cerebral edema, or swelling of the brain.
Unless or until evidence is presented that Lee did have sweat glands removed and that did cause him medical issues, the existing fact regarding his death should take preeminence.

i get it I'm just saying that nothing about that rumor or reason for it makes any sense. If he's doing action scenes and has armpit sweat...so what..hes oiled up anyway. If he's doing nonaction scenes and sweats profusely theres ways to cheat that on screen and it wasn't like he was doing shakespeare.Apparently he suffered from heat stroke and fainted a few weeks or months prior to his death but heat stroke wasn't well-understood at that time.
Anyway, you're arguing with the wrong person. Take it up with Bruce Lee's biographer and the Wikipedia editors. I don't know anything about that man's life except what I've read about it. I haven't done any original research nor do I care enough to do any.
I agree, Geechie. Honestly, I'm more interested in that ancient Egyptian debate going on between Road Rage and Freddy than this. I declare you the winner of this debate.
