So Timberland has been accused of stealing music?

@Dr. Truth what's the deal with Scott Storch and the Roots? Hell I didn't even know he was part of the Roots back in the day. Didn't even know they fell out either.

Sorry, I posted this before. But Danja is who made all those Aliyah , Genuine and missy jawns . Listen to his solo work here. This is “Timbaland”

No he didn’t. Many of his top bears he was in the studio with the artist when he made the beats. Yall wild.

Timbaland has been Jacking beats for years. He also has been using ghost producers from Day one. Danja, Devonte, Missy, etc Go listen to an actual Timbaland beat , it sucks. So yeah he needs other people to make his shit .”Beat club” is a farm he created to steal ideas and beats

Turrible

Numerous producers use production camps, Hitmaka, Mike Will Made It, Mustard, Ear Drummers

Timbaland started out in Devonté's camp aka da basement.....

Not saying he didn't "steal," from producers or artists, but the idea of a production camp is not new nor is it isolated to Timbaland or hip hop really.

Man, fuck Scott Storch

This racist loving MagaT cokehead is so full of shit.....

He's a fucking culture vulture. There is no way you can say hip hop runs through your veins and proudly support the racist PoS Donald Drumpf

Yup also worked with Dre as in house . Dude is a coke addict . Coke took him out , he couldn’t handle all the money and fame

Yeah but The difference is Timbaland doesn’t let his in house people shine and takes all the credit . He just uses them. Danja literally made all those hits, my love for Justin Timberlake is all Danja , Sexy back, Danja , promiscuous Nelly Furtado, Danja, Work Missy, Danja and so on and so forth. All those jawns people assumed it’s Timbaland based on the sound. No that sound is Danja and Devonte

Neither was Quincy Jones. Shit he didn’t play the guitar for MJ’s “Beat It” Slash from Guns N Roses did that. But guess what that muthafucka Quincy Jones was the producer of the song regardless.

Shoot even Rick James, who was a talented musician. I mean he could play a lot of instruments, but even he didn’t play every instrument of his songs, but he was the leader as far as creating the song, songwriting, mastering, etc. Same goes for Prince, R. Kelly, Curtis Mayfield etc etc.

Just think about the careers that Timbaland help create or revitalize. That’s what a music producer does not a muthafucka who plays some chords and makes a couple cute beats on an MPC.

Hold on now...

Prince played & produced every single instrument (with the exception of horns, he couldn't play horns) on each & every one of his records, usually around 3 AM in the studio.

He would then take it to his band & teach each & every one of them how to play it.

Now, I will admit, once Wendy & Lisa did too much & Prince killed the Revolution, he started to jam session more & create stuff from that. But even with that, he rarely created a song from scratch. He would usually record the jam session, throw it in the vault & some time in the future, pull it out the vault & tweak it until he liked it.

There are exceptions ("Kiss" being one) but for the most part, Prince was 100% the creator & player of every song he's ever done.

BTW, Quincy was like that too...but he was more comfortable just producing.

Sampling or interpolating is not stealing. And it isn't a new practice.

Plenty of producers "sample," hell Kanye hasn't made an original beat in damn near 2 decades....
If that was prince track he took and didn't pay for it prince would of sue the shit out of him. It's stolen if you get beat and don't pay for it

Small correction...Slash didn't play on Beat It, that was Eddie Van Halen with that solo and dude from Toto doing the rest .

.

Not nearly the same thing Quincy jones actually did make shit . Timbaland sits in the studio, loads up shit other people did and works with a team of people to create the song. Missy Elliot was his main song writer/producer. Timbaland is basically Dj Khalid . I know it’s heart breaking but this is the reality of it . Quincy jones comparison is a terrible one because Quincy plays a ton of instruments and had his own group and produced the entire thing. Quincy jones actually made Billy Jean.

There’s a reason Devonte Swing and Tim had beef all those years. Timbaland jacked his entire style
Man we can’t even take you serious in these conversations. Timbaland had his on signature sound so how was he not making beats? How is that possible? Then you have so many artist who have voiced how Tim made their beats and were amazed how he made them.

Plus Tim was all over jodeci’s Diary of a mad band. What about us was fire. That was Tim’s sound and not Devonte’s. Tim was behind the drums and baseline and funky rhythm while Devonte was on the keys.

Why do you think Jodeci’s sound changed so much from their first album? Devonte was the primary producer on the forever my lady album. When Tim started producing on Diary of a Mad Band, you can hear his production

Danja played the the chords and Tim did the beats and arrangements.

I was a huge Timbaland fan growing up but the more I'm hearing about current activities, the worst it gets.

This dude really signed a bunch of 1s & 0s to a record label. That is disturbing at best. Timmy watched the movie Ex Machina one too many times and now he's trying to create a robot artist.

Timbaland legally did nothing wrong when he sampled "Khosara Khosara." The original artist died in 1997. His nephew  had the rights to the song, but sold them to Sout El Phan (a subsidiary of EMI global) for all licensing outside of Egypt......

Timbaland and Jay paid EMI $100,000 once they became aware of the sample issue...... then in 2007 the nephew sued for some obscure Egyptian "Moral Rule." But he had no basis to do so since he already sold his rights to EMI and EMI already made an agreement with Tim and Jay.

But Tim and Jay did pay EMI.....

The whole copyright thing for music was mad confusing before like 89.....

But I can see Tim thinking the beat was in the public domain and then EMI telling him that it wasnt.

Timberland has been listening to people's music online for several months now and was suppose to be giving them advice whether it was good or bad. Basically giving the impression that he's trying to help new artists. Well evidently that hasn't been the case. Like I said I don't know the whole story yet. So I personally will refrain from calling anyone dumb or emotional.
Well he just helped her because I listened to that shit and it was kind of wack….she look good though.

Believe what you want, but unless you’ve been in the studio with them dudes it’s all talk.

I’ve been in there and watched this man make some of folks greatest hits from scratch and seen him change ppl’s careers. Same goes for Swizz too.

As far as Quincy and Rick examples goes you missed the entire point, as expected, yet you proved my point my point without knowing it.

Puff has one hell of an ear I’ll give him that, bc the production he gave Mary J was impecable.

I never said Prince didn’t produce his stuff, Prince came up under Rick James for Christ sake. But He didn’t play every instrument of his songs. But Prince, Rick James, Quincy, Timbo, Ye, RZA, Rick Rubin, shit even Puff were the leaders of the music composition of the tracks.

That is my point just because you didn’t play every fucking instrument or weren’t hitting the pad on every syncopated beat doesn’t mean your not the official producer of the track. That would be like saying just bc Tarantino, Spike Lee, Scorsese, or Fincher didn’t physical shoot their films or were in the edit bay cutting every scene or behind the computer doing the VFX that they are not the real directors of their respected film. FOH with that BS.

The music producer is the leader of the production . Will they get inspired or get ideas from others , yea, but it’s the music producers job to take all those chaotic ideas and create something.

I gotta start turning off my YouTube history when being redirected from BGOL. Last week BGOL had my algorithms suggesting a bunch of transparent cleaning videos and now I'm getting a bunch of Timbaland is on some bullshit videos.

He is showing producers how to make money. Instead of waiting on an artist. If you sign your on AI voice, throw your production on it. You can capitalize off your music. I can't sing a lick but if I were a producer I would create hot music with an AI voice to showcase my writing ability.

These are the only A.I.s I'll ever fuck with

I must of missed that about Patterson. Must explain why each book reads different.
from what I've heard, James Patterson is the face and there are a number of different authors who actually pen the books under that name. That must be why Nanna Mama was written very authentically as a black grandmother.

I didn't think white people were capable of that type of exposition on black people, particularly of her generation, and stands the reason they can't. There was probably a black person who wrote the first several Alex Cross novels because Nana mama was my best friend's grandmother growing up 100%.

White people typically write black people as blaxpoitation, and not much better than that. There's just a certain disconnect or not realistic by and large coming from them when writing about us as us

Yeah, I noticed that for about the past decade the book will have James Patterson's name in huge type and then another name underneath his

Check out his release schedule from January 2025 to April 2026...... 30+ books. This dude is just rubber stamping this shit now! Haha

Tom Clancy pioneered that shit. He's been dead for a long time but you keep seeing new shit from him.

But there is no scenario in which that would have ever happened. Due to the obscure copyright laws prior to 1987, and dude was an international artist which complicated it further.....

Timbo would have most definitely paid Prince top dollar, especially if he thought he had another "Big Pimping" type beat?!!

Man the early 00's were a fucking gold rush, producers were getting upto $1 mil for beats AND royalties. Directors were getting upto $1 mil for videos. And all of that came out of the artist budget...... and the right artist would make that back 10X+ easily.

There is a book give and take shelf at work and every month I see at least 2 or 3 random ass James Patterson and/or Tom Clancy novels.

I thought both of those dudes were dead and was always confused as to where these new books were coming from.

Now I know. So the publishers are pretty much using their names as a brand on the side of some randomly written bullshit.
Over/under Timbaland is a fan of at least one of those authors
