I've spent most of my adult life living overseas (lately mainly back in the U.S. though) can you can miss the basic things...like getting a big rental car (like a truck) and being in and out in a few minutes... last time I was back in brazil I had to rent a car (two actually because one wasn't big enough for my stuff) and it literally took me an hour or so just to get the damn car. You miss the conveniences of how well most things work in the U.S.
