why would she do that after the trouble she went through to save his life and leave with him in the first place. The only way i can understand that is if she didnt want Franklin to see him killed, and then she tries to take control of the situation by working with Reed behind Franklin back

That's a good point I think deep down they all knew Alton couldn't just walk away after all of that he had too many chances his mother smart she lined him up, Reed was going to find out one way or another where he got pictures of him from.

I think yall not giving Louie her props. She told Franklin to kill Manboy not Skully, he didn't listen that's why that mini war jumped off. She told Jerome to not go to the funeral, he didn't listen and she ended up taking a bullet. It was her homegirl who she set-up in Little Rock.
ETA. Why would Cissy wait until they got to Cuba to set-up Alton? She could have just not shown up at the meet and let Reed kill him there.

Everything was super predictable. Nothing happened that hasn't been telegraphed from 1000 miles away. And Louie not getting shot was totally not believable.
Didn't want to do it in front of Franklin. Franklin only knew about the meet because he called Reed. So who knows what was initially planned.
