Knew they'd all be tied in saw that coming and it's good because we see all levels of how it came to the hood. It isn't there yet but it will be.
Really great episode for the simple fact that it wasn't fake.
As soon as he thought shit was sweet and he could just run up in there and run out and everything is all good he ended up with NOTHING.
But I mean that's just him being naive because if a nigga gave me the look that the dude gave him up in the club I'm staying there until they close and walking out with the police.

at worst she set him and best showed depraved indifference leading to him getting got
look how at every turn she been trying to undercut him. Why the fuck they making the deal in the middle of the club in front of everyone. I am sure she told her old supplier i got a new connect (hint, hint, wink, wink) knowing what was the likely outcome

but it really doesnt make sense. why would she give up a connect to better product? Pure spite.

She might be trying to put him in a desperate situation to give up the supplier. She knows he can't recoup that money, so he might take her directly to the supplier to save his own ass. From the previews though it looks like he brought in his boy as backup to get back his bread.
 
I thought that scene was to predictable. She goes over to those dudes right in front of him, they stare at him. Obviously it's a set up. He goes outside, gets on his bike and they pull up, why not just start your bike and go? What are you looking back for?

i thought it was average

not sure if they got the tone just right

the show seems to be all over the place
 
I'm old enough to of lived through the real crack era.....dont need to revisit it on a TV show.

I thought she was just letting them know she didnt need them anymore. They obviosuly saw the deal going down since there were like two bricks laying on the table.

cause he's 19 years old and to this point had done nothing but sold weed which is not a violent and kill over drug in the quantities that he was selling it and especially in the places he was selling it.
this is a new school for him and class is finally in session.

his uncle and aunt warned him, even tried to give him a gun remember? but he's selling bricks of coke like it's weed and he don't know the rules when he simply felt like the rules for drugs are simply the rules for drugs
there are levels to this. he fell into a high middle man level on accident and he didn't even know it.

Just watched the 2nd ep. This show is good. The ending was some bullshit though. Ol not for what he was supposed to get acting too naive. He better get rid of that damn backpack

I really liked the first two episodes. Franklin got some work to put in. Quick. His boy is probably the best help he has, but the isreali connect seems to fuck with Franklin and may take him under his wing and show him how to handle this shit. Part of me thinks that he would enjoy that, but he also may kill Franklin if he comes back without his money. Why did the mexican pull that move on his father, who he knows is crazy as fuck? I may need to rewatch the first episode (dabbing)

mexicans weren't really fucking with coke yet... the kids "borrowed" the money because for less than a quarter of million dollars in buy money they are going to clear $2.5 million in profit on the coke

People have hard time imagining a situation when watching period films. You are correct...anyone now would know just how much trouble - prison and street - comes with moving powder.weight.

But that shit was new then....most black folk had never seen cocaine ever in life....had no idea what it was....only the high rollers. Period. His only experience was weed and that was a whole different game.

Truth be told, powder just got big in our community in the last 10-15 years......

But he is a smart kid and a fast learner....that ass whooping won't be a lesson he has to learn twice.

It can only go two ways with the jewish gangster....'go get my fucking money or else' or 'who has my fucking money? take me to them.'
