Sneakerheads: Are The Yeezy Boost 350s On eBay?

the low tops aint that bad still ugly but not as ugly as the high tops

I still think the Yeezy ones are the best pair hands down.

I never seen them in person,

they look like he made em with rubber and some yarn tho...

they look like very comfortable slippers, like they should come with a matchin

bath robe...

They dropped all of them in limited numbers.

no such thing

Adidas has lost ground to Under Armour and Sketchers over the past year. Nike has only grown. Adidas isn't in a position to do shit.

A crock of horse shit.

They dropped limited #'s but they'll prob drop in bigger #'s in '16. Adidas has more of an incentive to do #'s right now.

Adidas dropped the most hyped kicks of 2015. First time they've taken that spot from Nike in what, 30years? Kanye was undeniably a smart move on their part.

Hyped means little, because Ronnie Feig and mainly Asics have been putting out hyped releases for the past five years.

That has meant little to Asics bottom line or market share, because it's only a niche market it reaches. It's not mainstream, and that's what Nike is, Adele.

Everyone(Saucony, Asics, New Balance, Adidas) outside of Nike until recently has moved to collabos for hype, and it has worked little.

Adidas isn't moving a couple of hundred thousand Adidas units in a weekend, and the time they release more is when they become less popular. Resellers are some of the main people buying them. The reason Yeezy's are so popular is exclusivity and they're like hitting the lottery, because of how limited they are.

Yea, to your point, Wale's asics collab was going for 3 and 4hundred bucks last month. But Kanyes been worth his money from a product placement and advertisement stand point alone. Its bigger than just sales for adidas with him. He helps the brand....moreso than ANY stateside athlete they have endorsing gear presently.

I'm not disagreeing that Nike is the big dog in the space. What I am saying is... Nike has consistently released the most anticipated/ wanted athletic shoe of the year, every year for at least 25 years straight. The fact that another company interrupted that run is not something to take lightly. Obviously Adidas isn't putting them out of business but I know Nike isn't taking the fact lightly... even if Nike heads do.

& I'd disagree about Adidas. Asics has had a really solid run over the last few years. Part of that is because of the hype of the collabs. It gives the people something to talk about. Similar to how auto manufacturers show off concept cars.

How can you say Asics hype means nothing when Asics basically having its best run ever during the same span they they are putting out collabs and hyped releases?

"ASICS America Group, which includes the United States, Brazil, Canada and Mexico, announced today that it surpassed $1 billion in net sales for the first time in 2014, up to $1.1 billion, an impressive increase of 14.9% year on year. Operating profit also rose a healthy 20.1% year on year. This is the third year in a row ASICS America has shown sustained growth and profitability, a testament to the brand's strength in the marketplace."

For the most part Nike had "cool" on lock for a long time. It's part of how they maintained dominance. Overt the last few years other companies have finally started to figure it out and are learning how unlock "cool" for their own brands. Adidas is currently the best example of it...

Asics has no where to go but up. They had a 25th anniversary of their most popular model, and it was lukewarm. To the average person the Asics brand is what?

Puma is going to so growth also, is it due to Meek and Rihanna?

He helps the brand to a degree, but Kanye isn't a global celebrity like Lebron or Kobe. They transcend sports. Kanye's sneakers don't have that reach.

His sneakers sell, because people see money in them. Not because people like them. His 950 boots can be had for below retail. His over priced Walking Dead clothes, below retail.

Is Kanye cool anymore? He's more popular

But he went from

Polo and Jordans

to weirder and weirder

Does this look cool to you?

and his music has gotten worse

^^^^^^^^
I dont disagree Complex. Im just saying the deal has been good for adidas and he has a higher popularity than any US athlete on their roster.

I think it was good for the brand, it was worth the risk. It gets them talked about.

Big Sean, Pharrell and 2 Chainz aren't doing shit really. I mean they're selling out, but nobody really cares about them or their kicks.

But I think it's just a short term boost to the brand really, because they need to revamp things overall. The only new models people talk about really are the Ultra Boost. Everything else is a Superstar, EQT, Stan Smith, Top Ten, Forum....

Under Armour did more with Steph Curry than Adidas could do with Wall, Lillard, Rose. Harden has a nice commercial though :dunno:

and hell it looks like Wall when he's ready to become an all star might be going to Nike or JB.
