amazing people from all colors races and walks of life and made it all beautifully come together.. I was blown away by that!
I learned so much from watching this man... he was so much more than just a chef, food connoisseur, author, and TV personality. He was a brilliant storyteller who loved people and cultures.
His travels from the posh chateaus of France, to the slums of India, from the dirty south, to the beautiful Island of Jamaica hellShire beach port Moore which was my favorite episode of his
#NoReservations - he was trying to show us that our planet is smaller than we make it with our tribalistic and nationalistic mentalities.
Underneath it all, past all of the “barriers” of religion, language, skin color, and cultural differences, we’re all people, who just want to take care of those that we love, make our lives better for ourselves, and have a stranger over for dinner to treat them to the culinary and hospitality traditions passed down by our ancestors and cultures.
He did so much more than just show us the visual and culinary wonders of the world. He showed us that if you strip away all of the physical and metaphorical walls that we build, and the bubbles and echo chambers that we put around ourselves - we are all so much more alike than we realize.
