Smartphone guide upcoming phones

I finally got my HTC Touch Pro last week. The only complaint that I have about it is the relatively short battery life. I guess this may be partly because of all the new stuff that I am doing with this "phone". I actually use the term "phone" loosely because this machine is so much more. It is almost a laptop! It comes with Windows Mobile, and pre-loaded Microsoft Office Mobile, Adobe Reader, and Windows Media Player. I find myself reading my research papers on my phone, writing briefs and notes, and listening to music. I think this may be the reason that my battery life is so short. Also, I love the haptic feedback keyboard because I don't think I'd be able to do all the typing that I do with a touchscreen keyboard. Overall, I'd give this a 4.5 out of 5 because of the short battery life!

was thinking abut getting that hot the e71 instead

Just a quick guide on upcoming smartphones for business minded folks. These phones will all feature QWERTY keyboard/pads for the users that prefer the feel of actual keys and are just not ready for touchscreen phones. Of course they will all have the features you expect from email tasks & apps. Also, the ability to view, create, & edit all of your office docs on the go. Most of these phones are on the AT&T network or atleast capable of being used on it. Let's begin and feel free to add any that you have your eye on when it comes out, as long as it follows the theme of post. So no STORM,iPHONE,THUNDER, etc..lol

BlackBerry Pearl 8120
A nice update to the wildly popular Pearl that should extend the line's life another year. RIM fixed the niggles we had with the first version-- namely moving the microSD card slot out from under the battery, tweaking SureType prediction, enhancing the web browser and adding WiFi. We'd have loved a GPS inside but given the Pearl's very small size, there may well be a limit to how many features RIM can squeeze in. For those who aren't wed to full QWERTY keyboards and prefer a small, sexy device for serious messaging, the new Pearl is an excellent choice. It's fast, stable and easy to use. The multimedia features are growing up, and the once all-business BlackBerry can now ID songs, play XM Radio, act as in iPod stand-in and take quite good photos.

I don't think the Q11 is out yet. Should be a matter of days or weeks though.
E71- love the design, sleekness of it. I'm a fan of S60 OS, haven't had any problems with it before. Everytype of messesaging I need. I can create, view, & edit docs that are sent to and from work, without having to download any apps to the phone. It actually can switch from business homescreen to a personal homescreen. Of course its not the fastest "net" phone, but it serves its purpose. Everything I need in a phone. Always have to get any gadget for what purpose you would need it majority of the time.

I have the E71 and i agree with everything you have posted. Design, software, stability, speed, all top notch. I had an HTC phone before, actually still have it but i will never buy another HTC phone again. The designs are slick but the phones are flimsy and break easily (had to replace the speaker twice) and the OS (windows based) is awful to say the least.

what in the flying fuck is an iphone shuffle
that shit dont even sound practical, real, or even cool

what you can only talk to like 5 people in the united states and play like 50 random songs on it?

I think I'm going to cop that Sony Ericsson Xperia X1. It has the freq. to utilize T-Mobile's 3g network.
